Let's put the kettle on.
-
Firstly, it's not an adopted kid from the Ukraine, the nipper was born to a surrogate mother in California. Secondly, it's more likely to get ****ed up by the surreal world it will grow up in (celebrity nonsense) more than the fact that the parents are ageing poofters. But thirdly, i reckon it will get plenty of TLC and be well looked after by the old queens. Hurrah Sir Elton!! (and lifetime partner David Furnish, of course)

I know of 2 examples of this happening in public bodies in Hampshire a few years ago, not sure it's so actively encouraged now though. But it was one of the more ludicrous examples of enforced PC nonsense.
-
That's how it seems to me as well. Too many white, middle class liberals with no connection to the minority group or individual in question, getting all upset on their behalf.
-
It would have been magic if Andy Gray and Richard Keys were commentating on that.
-
Not asking you to justify your own, just saying there are a few hardwoods used which aren't sustainably grown here, irrespective of the fact that hardwood takes soooo much longer to grow and replace (even oak grown in the UK). But why get into discussions of environmental issues when taste and interior design takes a much higher priority.

Most councils provide a disclaimer on Part P work for regularisation certs. If you pursue it further as they didn't tell you or advertise it properly, it will be interesting to see if you are successful.

Wood floors are great, especially when you can square off the fact that some of the amazon rainforest has been chopped down and transported halfway around the globe to provide it. Marvellous stuff.

Glad to see freewill is ignored in favour of traditional values in the BTF household. -

Crikey, by the posts on this thread, I don't think I know of a programme where so many people who detest it, presumably actually watch it. Perhaps it's some kind of bizarre masochism? Very strange. -

It seems the only place one can insult others these days, is on this forum. I'll drink to that, you c***s! -
Really good post, but whilst Thatch can be blamed for quite a few things, imho, i don't think the cultural decline of a nation or the political apathy of it's inhabitants is one of them.
-
Ditto, and i know where you're coming from, especially when it concerns The Avenue as the pathway is a cycle lane, although some cyclists don't take advantage of this fact.
-
Perhaps you didn't see the cyclist because you were adjusting your nappy, or picking up the dummy you dropped? Are you sure you were driving? The pretendsy steering wheel slung over mummy's headrest doesn't actually control the car you know?

Probably someone like my old man, who is self employed and was able to buy his council house in the 80's. He's a tradesman, would view himself as working class and has always voted Conservative. Not saying he's got any sense mind, but neither is he a bigot.
-
The point is not whether anyone agrees with him, but how any posts are phrased. And if the general consensus is that he is a wind up merchant, why does he get so many bites??
-
Judging from the video evidence from the marches and the Newsnight footage, i don't agree! However, just through anecdotal evidence of my own, i have found an appreciable number of people (work colleagues, friends, etc) with views that could be seen as extreme regarding race and integration, but they are generally hidden from general conversation! I do think that if the EDL were to clean their act up and were clever enough, they could gather a decent amount of support. As i said before, quite worrying IMHO. Edit - before anyone accuses me of fraternising solely with extremists, i count many a left wing leaning type amongst my friends.
-
Herein lies the problem with the thread. Dune, irrespective of whether you like/dislike agree/disagree with him, answered a post in a perfectly acceptable manner, but your cheap, putrid little retort shows you to be both crass and pathetic. Grow up and behave like an adult or don't bother.

They seem to be suprised by their success. In trying to alter their image from their far right origins, they face a big challenge, especially as their "voice" is generally through uneducated, blinkered, white young males who cannot portray themselves properly through media outlets. It is interesting that they appreciate they need to change (shows some level of organisational intelligence). But whether they can whilst they attract gobsh!tes who are not media savvy and "support" from nasty, loathsome racists, remains to be seen. However, just as the leaked BNP list of members showed, there is a potentially sizeable number of people (including middle englanders) who could offer their support to an organisation such as the EDL if they were to smarten their act up and try to become a (and i use the term loosely) credible organisation by pitching themselves as a "softer" BNP. All quite worrying really.
-
So why are you questioning it then? And why do they have to get more decisions right that the blokes? If they've passed the tests, got the certificates, done their time in the lower leagues, they won't be "average", but "qualified" to do it. Sorry, but it seems a non-argument, unless of course, the FA go into Maccy D's before a game and press gang a few locals into running the line at SMS.

Have been toying with getting a dongle for my sony TV, but for the cost, it seems as though i'd get very little that i can't get through other means.
-
Have to agree with this. The question is not whether female lino's are any good. Clearly they are equally able to do as good a job as fellas. Questioning their ability on their gender is a nonsense.

Richard Gere goes Extreme?

This is a rather tawdry, cynical view from you, Verbal. Also, a load of old pony; check out the CITB - funded by the construction industry for the training of people within that industry.

The Government doesn't set interest rates anymore; the BoE MPC does. That was probably the best thing Brown ever did as Chancellor, tbf.
