  1. I guess this has something to do with your username (or rather the number at the end of it)
  2. And i bet he looked up their skirt whilst he was doing it, the sexist pig!
  3. Absolutely. PFI debt, conveniently not appearing on the balance sheet thanks to Brown, runs into the hundreds of billions. As for the public sector pension hole - cripes - into the trillions.
  4. Cheers for that, sorry should have looked. Seems a bit of a fuss about nothing to me, but he should have known better, although it's not in the Frank Bough league of presenter type scandal.
  5. Does anybody know what he is supposed to have said in December?
  6. Then surely you must question the Dear Leader is his original appointment? Red Ed gambled on a postie to be his right hand man because he was a good bloke, but wasn't up to the job? Not exactly inspiring to the party faithful and the country at large; appointing an incompetent to the most powerful position, bar one, in the Party. A few months later he's gone (probably better now than waiting for him to get his GCSE in Economics over the next few years) and Milliband is forced to apoint someone who knows what he is doing but has serious ambitions to get the top job. I reckon Ed must be squirming around now, knowing his power base is weakened. Watch out Ed, he's behind you!
  7. 20. Marble sculpture from the Later Zhou Dynasty.
  8. Not content with throwing it up Mrs Johnson, it seems as though the bodyguard has been poking Alan Johnson's PA too. Not related to Berlusconi is he?
  9. Miliband's adopting the maxim of "keeping your friends close, but your enemies closer." It will be interesting to see if Balls's own political ambition will lead to a re-run of the Blair-Brown relationship of early New Labour. And with Balls having his missus on the inside, Mr Bean better watch his back.
  10. Two 'Ed's are better than one. I'll get me coat.
  11. I've bought in and told Desire to rebrand as a water company.
  12. I'm following Dune's share tips as i want to retire in 5 years time. I've already sold my house to buy HMV shares. It should be a breeze.
  13. Carlton Palmer - always thought he was good for us. Mark Whitlock David Hirst - shame about the injury (Ditto Mark Draper and David Howells). Kevin Davies on his 2nd stint. Kasey Keller was excellent for the month he was here! but quickly forgotten (as was Christian Dailly) Kevin Bond Gordon Hobson??
  14. I don't see it as discrimination, only sensible planning. If a worker has a child, then they should be entitled to parental leave in order to start to bring up their child in the best way possible. And "playing" at mothers and fathers? If only it were that easy. Although i can see that administration problems could occur, but the detail will have to be studied. oh, and the assumption that new parents are slacking in the workplace is an lazy, vacuous "argument", that doesn't stack up.

    Ed Milliband

Indeed, but he had already spent 2 years learning Latin, when he wanted to learn Spanish. I was just trying to see if there was a positive in all this.

2 years spent learning latin would have given you a very good start in learning Spanish, which of course, is a romance language. As an influence on modern european languages, those who learn latin generally find it easier to pick up an understanding of those languages. I think it's use should not be downplayed at all.
  17. We say it's chicken, you think it's chicken, let's just pretend it's chicken.
  18. So, after reading this thread, do we know if Pardew is racist or not? Or does he drive taxi's? If so, is it the big pink taxi up Bourneville Boulevard? **** me 49 posts and still so many questions unanswered.
  19. Ahem......would you like some more tea, Vicar?

    Ed Milliband

You could be right; Miliband has already tried to alienate the unions and he'll probably need a Lib-Lab pact too, at some stage.
  21. Baj, consider somewhere like this. http://www.camping-la-garangeoire.com/en/index_en.htm - lots to do (lots of it free) and quite reasonable to hire a cabin. Don't go through Eurocamp as they charge a large premium, book directly with the campsite. Despite what they say about the proximity to the beach it's only 40 minutes drive to St Jean de Monts which has a fabulous beach
  22. What a game! I know the purists don't like the T20, but for sheer nervous entertainment, games like that just can't be beat.
  23. Fair point. It will be interesting to see how much Mr Blood gets as a bonus from GIM for their quite remarkable recent profit deliveries.
