For those interested, the shortlist for this years RIBA Stirling Prize has been announced. Except for the Evelyn Grace Academy and the RST refurb, it's a pretty uninspiring list (imho, of course). It's not a business, it's a charity. It also appears to be "in-house". So a tacit acknowledgement that RBS is **** poor at running anything, even those charitable concerns it burdens itself with (love to see their initial business plan). Also, they owe a duty of care to the country for bailing their arses out (bit tenuous that one, but hey ho). It also sees itself fit to throw millions at Andy Murray and his mum, whilst throwing poor Mrs Miggins out on the street and expecting someone else to take up the slack.

I notice you've alluded to a common practice of police being paid although this comes vicariously and with no examples.
