Bet he could catch that too.

You should have gone to wee-wee before you left the house. Next time remember to or you'll be sent to the naughty step.

I haven't seen that thread, so i can't comment on that, my point referred to this thread. Of course threads about ex players are not forbidden, but i agree with Pancakes post above in how odd it is to start a thread like this. Perhaps when WGS gets back into management, we'll start a thread celebrating his first win for his new club.

There was so little content in what he said, that we are only left with this.

Hate is such a strong word and not something that seems to have been conveyed in this thread. Seems to me that some cannot see why a thread is started about an ex player who happens to score in a game for his new club. And i agree with them.

He inspires about as much confidence as back street abortionist.

Exactly, what a nob. And a bigger one for acting like a girl when the club wanted to charge him for being a tool. Sounds to me like he needs to grow a pair and act like an adult FFS.

Nigerian rapist allowed to stay in UK as he has a 'life' over here
Special K replied to Spudders's topic in The Lounge
Errrr, because it is a story about the attempted deportation of a foreign criminal, therefore nationality is at the core of the story. Not race, which some automatically assume:rolleyes: , but nationality. -
I'm sure there were some "Niamh's" around 8 years ago. But there is no need to get touchy CS, i wasn't judging, just passing comment. It bothers me not, only when i have to look up the spelling of a name for a present tag, when the kids go to a party.

It does seem very trendy these days to select Irish or Celtic names for newborns. Maybe the OP could consider some old english names like Cuthwulf or Ethelfleda...........

Don't want to repeat some of the above, but add Balkan War (particularly the genocide at Srebrenica and the siege of Sarajevo) Glasnost John Lennon murdered Tiannaman (sp?) Square Falklands "conflict" Rugby World Cup 2003 Frannie Benali crosses halfway line

You're joking right. It seems perfectly feasible to me that CIA operatives dressed up as Wily Coyote armed with a bunch of ACME TNT and a trailer wire to a black box with a push down handle were round the corner, ready to strike.

That day was the last day of my paternity leave after the birth of our first child. We decided to stay at home that day and had the TV on over lunchtime. We sat transfixed, watching events unfold and it was one of those momentous events where, even at an early stage, I thought that the world would probably never be the same again. I remember being quite profoundly sad that there i was, with a new life in my arms, whilst watching pictures on TV of others losing theirs. I really feared for what sort of world this new life would grow up in.

The game was played at a fair old pace and both teams seemed to blow themselves out after about 70 mins. The game was screaming out for someone with pace to come on up front and Adkins duly obliged with De Ridder, whose pace lead to the free kick which Lambert converted. I thought both teams were about equal, but we suffered with an unfamiliar back 4 which is only to be expected as two are new players, however when it counted they defended ok in the goalmouth scrambles. Fox seems to naturally play far too narrow but hopefully he can lose that with coaching. Forest are a decent team with good players, and i think our players will have to steel themselves for some tough old battles to come, particularly mid winter. Both Millwall and Forest have come here and really should have beaten us, but luck has (for once) been on our side. A brilliant result from a sometimes brilliant, sometimes fragile performance. It's going to be an exciting season.

Tim Burgess has an average live singing voice at best, but the band still provide a great set. Ditto with Morrissey.

Top 50p tax rate damages UK, say economists
Special K replied to Johnny Bognor's topic in The Lounge
Don't fully agree. High earners i've encountered are less likely to be PAYE, instead performing roles as consultants via self employed status/contractor route. That is my experience which obviously may differ in other industries. -
I wonder how their self proclaimed compassionate legal system will deal with this? I agree with alexander. Cut the sweaties adrift.

Not convinced. If you earn over 150k and don't employ the services of a specialist tax avoidance accountant, then you are a bit of a fool anyway. I suspect this is being overplayed somewhat, but then again so are the forecasts for collection in that piece. Sounds to me like a load of old pony. -
Amended for clarity

My Dad's from the era when he used to watch both Saints and Pompey when he was young, but when he got older, he was more skate than saint Anyway, he took me to Fratton Park quite a few times before i told him i preferred going to the Dell, so he gave up. Never looked back. My boy is saints too, although i first took him during the Portvliet days, so he didn't see us win for about a dozen games, so it was a struggle to get him to keep interested.

They always have been mate. I grew up in Winchester and was a teenager in the 80's - there was always bother between the locals and the squaddies from Worthy Down back then. Many a time i found myself in the middle of a punch up outside the Vine or the Bakers. Didn't want to be there though!! However, these days it seems as though people get more seriously injured in punch ups than back then, which i can't figure out why? I was jumped by 3 blokes one night and beaten up, even taking a couple of kicks to the head, but it didn't do any long term damage (some posters may disagree!). But go out in Winch nowadays and it's generally a lot quieter and with a helluva lot less agro. Anyway, i'm rambling on now. Hope Dan makes a full recovery and is back in the red and white as soon as he can make it.
