  1. A good thing to take is Dioralyte (sp?) which replaces lost electrolytes in the stomach. It's for after you've had the the old Two Bob bits, but works really well after a sesh.
  2. I vaguely recall some irrelevant celebrity tittle-tattle about Tom Cruise and his missus. I think when she gave birth to their nipper, she was under strict instructions not to make any noise at all during her labour. Quite honestly, any cult that insists on birds keeping their trap shut, can't be all bad.
  3. Thompson is just getting old and increasingly intolerant of younger people (happens to most of us) and feels she is doing something worthwhile (errrr not) whilst keeping up her public profile. Go Emma, you miserable old bag.
  4. TBF, equal amounts of irrelevant ****e appear in rags of all political leanings. I liked the Red Ed moniker, although surely Ken Livingstone will have something to say about being usurped by this young upstart.
  5. You could then set up an offshoot religion based upon superior appendage size. You would be revered by clopper the world over and probably not have to do a boring housework to get laid.
  6. Dare i suggest that if you continued with bashing the old (non-denominational) bishop in front of them, they may make the decision not to visit you again?
  7. The poor fella sounded like he had a real stinker of a cold when he was interviewed on R4 this morning. The freezing air of political isolation maybe taking it's toll?

I find that making a token effort with the duster (albeit under duress) generally results in getting a **** more likely.
  9. They count some notable screen actors amongst their ranks, which makes everything a-ok. Incidentally, I got in touch with my inner thetans the other day and tbf, they were a good craic. Taking them to the game on saturday as it happens.
  10. Thanks. Are those figures ever published at all?
  11. I've been or corporate days like Goodwood, Ascot, Twickenham (for international matches), golf, saints games. The occasional drink up abroad for a couple of days (broken up by a visit to a factory). Not like it used to be though, in these times of austerity.
  12. I've worked on a few I always find the time/cost problems stem from both of them being set by people or parties who have little experience in (or responsibility for) the delivery of either.
  13. You mean just doing the job you were employed to do?
  14. Serious question. Do Union members get a vote in whether they want their fees help to finance a political party? If i'm a member of the AEEU and i don't want to vote Labour, do i get a say in whether i want a union that represents me to use money (part of which i've paid) to fund a (likely unsuccessful) Labour election campaign. Or is it fait accompli?

    Twitter?

I thought it was The Pouch of Douglas?
  16. With all due respect that's a bit like being beaten up with a lettuce leaf. To hear that MO takes manji's keyboard heroism (subsequently retracted, sort of) to heart is baffling enough, but i would hope that hardened posters on teh saints web forum would see it for what it is.
  17. redundancy
  18. Not quite. Striaght up, probably the only time in my life i have been romantic.
  19. I proposed under Juliet's balcony in Verona. On one knee and popped the question.
  20. If you could actually see them you would be earning your money, or get locked up, i can't decide which.
  21. At her work. We were doing some construction and i had to kick her out of her office. She got the hump, we had a barney and i asked her out. She said yes and we got together. Still together 13 years and 2 kids later.
  22. I didn't suggest that the Nazi's were atheists at all, where did i say that? I know full well that was not the case. I was merely trying to highlight that blanket intolerance of a religious faith was a fundemental part of the rise of Fascism. Fear and a lack of understanding of religious belief and ethnicity played a pivotal role in the manipulation of information which in turn led to violence and persecution.
  23. Exactly. It might not have worked fully in 1930's Germany, but i'm sure some lessons have been learned since to make it more successful next time FFS!
  24. Born in Winchester, stayed until 21. Bristol, Totnes & Torquay, Bristol again, Southampton for last 15 years, various places around Shirley.
  25. :)Seems like a night of monkey-spanking magnificence. Any spare tickets?
