Lots of things seem to annoy Dune on the road.. I wonder if he's one of those drivers who does something stupid and then blames someone else. It can be annoying here to sit behind some ol' guy wearing a hat and driving a 20 year old Panda, or worse a 3 wheeler Ape, but on the local roads you just shrug your shoulders, relax and wait for a decent spot to pass. In traffic if I'm letting someone out across the other lane I don't gesture which might indicate the way is clear but just make it plain from my hands together on the steering wheel that _I'm_ waiting.. it's their decision to go. The middle lane hoggers are frustrating though; sometimes obliviousness and others sheer ignorance. Once I went on holiday with a friend, her BF and brother and was passenger in the back. Hacking down the middle lane of an empty motorway we got flashed and our driver wondered why. I suggested gently and politely that it was because we were travelling in the middle lane. All three turned on me saying driving in the middle lane in the circumstances was fine. I mentioned the highway code but there really wasn't any point argueing.. Mind you, there were other points of friction on that holiday.. Clinically obese brother had a "problem" apparently: they didn't like it when I raised my eyebrows at yet another large portion of late-night chips.

Europatin? Well Eurosaint... that almost seems like fishing to me! :-))))))

No idea, but all I can say is that us [overseas] occasionals are getting twitchy!

Has anyone ever wondered what Bearsy is on? Not a criticism, I should add, just thinking I wouldn't mind a pint or two...:-)

Oh I don't forget.. Ed Treacher, of Campbell Road, Eastleigh died over the Ruhr towards the end of the war. He was an air-gunner. My dad was in the same gang. He became a pilot, for which the training was a lot longer, and he never made active service. I remember all right.

Well, just remember folks that Italy varies greatly from place to place in everything from food, wine, bureaucracy, water supply, whether things work, the attitude to the law, driving... The attitude to say, seatbelts, motor-cycle helmets and whether to stop at traffic-lights can differ greatly between the Valle d'Aosta and Puglia or Calabria, Torino or Napoli. It would be interesting to hear Saintswebs opinions as you drive south.. Anyway, lets go and see the kit launch...

Trousers' initial design but red on white would be good. On the back the toaster design with the toast slightly more burnt and some significant design on the toast itself. Not a club crest (copyright issues) but perhaps silhouettes of a skate?... Underneath WTFILN. Perhaps a bit fussy on the design front so just keep it to the initial design, and red on white if that works.

Yep, see above... As for Bomarzo... I went there as a kid in the mid 1960s and somewhere I suspect Mum has the photos to prove it! Dad did shiftwork at Fiumicino airport and during the week in summer and school holidays we'd disappear off from Rome into Tuscany and Umbria. Tivoli (and the Villa d'Este) we knew well. Bloomin 'eck, and I still ended up a Saints fan!

I would imagine for quite a few years after although they seem to have sorted it out by the time I got here! From my bedroom window I can see the big roundabout near the main hospital and sometimes spend idle but fascinating moments watching the traffic avoid collisions. They seem to manage it, which cannot be said for the pedestrian crossing on my study side of the house. Squeal of brakes and bang, there's another one. I've walked past on my way home and wondered how somebody could have done so much damage during the slow moving rush hour.. Once I heard a bang and a what looked like a newish Peugeot had driven over a kerb to hit a van in the parking below my house. No traffic, dry, good visibility.. I'm a cautious driver over here..
