Oh Christ!
-
I turned up at half time to watch a stream as I was playing footie earlier, and based on the second half we occasionally lacked a bit of concentration but had plenty of possession, chances and were easily the match of Spurs. If only we could do it for 90 minutes... It'll be good to have Cork and Ramirez back: we haven't got the strength in depth to ignore their absence.
-
Just in from playing footie (yay, we won first game of the season) and made the mistake of reading the match thread. If there's anything more depressing than watching Saints play badly it's reading all the posts from the little bundles of joy on here...

His executors will be battling out with yet another administrator or chasing a Blue Square club..

You're needed as a summariser on the PTS thread....
-
Frank, he does have a point.. As for your discovery, laughing also helps the performance of the human brain! It wasn't callous laughter though, it was quite sympathetic!
-
Frank, is it getting messy over there? Don't think I could face the usual suspects saying the usual things in their usual snide, negative way. I'll just pop in here and the PTS..
-
I can see why. Thank you for saving me the bother of having to read this book. It's slightly embarassing when a book review is better than the book, so I forgive you your 14 year old sexism.:-)
-
I'd like to give you some instructions, but I'm afraid you wouldn't follow them, and...then there might be some regrets... And I'm tall... and even slightly fitter than you, going by the three footie training sessions a week at the moment and the evidence of your golfing photos! :-) Bought my season ski pass today, so in a few more weeks will be even fitter, if I don't manage to do a leg in. If I do I'll just take up golf.;-)

I agree. The cracking goal we scored was also before Lambert was on the pitch, and when he did come on he didn't seem to do much, although I had a very dodgy stream. Does nobody consider that NA is trying to protect his player through a long and tough season, when his age and body type is against him in the recovery and fitness stakes (I should know).. I think others have pointed out Rooney and other top stars don't start every game. Plus when he gets injured we'll be without him anyway and we need to be able to cope. Criticise the manager if you must (starting Boruc?), but we ended up chasing a game where we had been quite comfortable, the better team indeed, even if not particularly pentetrating. It wasn't the Saints fans who were unhappy at half-time. Judging by the hysteria on here it would seem nothing the manager did was right, FFS.

I refer you back to my previous post, which refers to the depreciation for said car. Now Honest John may write for the Torygraph, but he's got no axe to grind about makes. I suggest you look at the link I gave...

FFS. And they say women are hysterical... The only decision I'd query NA on is playing Boruc. Once we were chasing the game it was all a different matter. I went out for an apperitivo at the end of the game 'cos I really couldn't stand the negative ****s on here. The first half showed we had a good formation, but the manager can't be blamed for individual mistakes. And we really suffered from stupid, individual mistakes. Then you get some fans picking on individual players: jeez, I'd like to give some of them a Glasgow kiss, the rascist, negatice c***s. Was Guly that bad_ I don't think so. Did SRL make a massive change when he came on? No, he didnt, ********. He's a great player but to hear some of you hysterical tarts you'd think he's the be all and end all... We're playing down in Turin tomorrow and I really hope I play because I've got so much negative energy to unload, and I'm just wondering how to do it without being booked..

We've been a bit toothless and our shooting has been wayward but you can see that they know what they're doing as a team and there's been some good close range work and movement off the ball. All of those complaining about Adkins have been unfair in my opinion. That break where Puncheon wasted the pass had the WH defence completely overwhelmed. I don't think Punch deserves all the criticism he gets, but if we had a little bit more quality in that position we'd really benefit. Guly has been fine, and I reckon he's been picked for his mobility allied to his physique. Oh well, here we go...
-
Well, touch wood, tocca ferro, but we're the better team at the moment even if we haven't been so good in the last third. Plenty of movement and possession.

Is that an accurate quote, Trousers? Did he give any indication that they had information from Portpin that they were prepared to compromise? What planet is he living on? Has he considered a career in stand-up comedy? O.K., most of those questions, apart from the first, were rhetorical. My reaction was laughing out loud and just shaking my head in disbelief.. This thread is going through an entertaining phase again!
-
I think the tone of the thread may have something to do with it, don't you? ANSWER, BOY!! ;-) Oh, and a silly sense of humour...
-
As subtle and as over-the-top as a Benali two-footed tackle, dear thing! You really wouldn't want to be around me when I've an iron at hand, particularly the one I use for waxing my skis. . Always have my edging file handy as well.... I had a beautician friend who used to deal with the girls at a local "specialist" house, and she passed on some hilarious stories. The good thing from the point of view of the working girls apparently was that they didn't actually have to touch the clients... not so much working at arms length, but whip length, I suppose.
-
Oh sod! I wrote that and then realised there'd been more postd on the thread...: "I find two hair ties in my bag and quickly put my hair in pigtails. Yes! The more girly I look the safer I'll be." Yeah that ought to do it you dumb fvvck. Put on your school uniform. Dudes hate that." Me collapsing in giggles again....
-
Jez, Jez, Jez, you've really missed the point.. O.K., so I'm a girly, but the whole point about Bearsy's review is to put you _off_ reading the book. Bearsy's review has had me in stitches (the sexist bastard!;-) ), but look at Lazlo's comment below.... a very good summing up of the affair!

Don't give Bearsy ideas, FFS!

And they say _we're_ *****y! Anyway, no cellar work last night as I'm playing footie this afternoon on a bloomin' big pitch, and although I have extremely fit legs (albeit a footballer and skier's) I'm not as young as I used to be (I believe that's the phrase to use..). Rule 1: http://www.footballzz.com/estadio.php?id=8291 :-)
-
Ah well, said American tourist knbew a bit about wines so I hoiked out a few good ones... OK, I'm a bit short down in the cellar for you DP, but I have a few bottles of Brakspears remaining and some thirst quenchers from Jennings of ... no, I can't say it.. even if it's actually true..

... oh, and we left the barmen at the bar... PS: The Petite Arvine was a white...the rest were red...
