Sorry, I only read Turkish when he's been quoted!:-) -

The pyschs call this projection. Looks like the insecure one round here is you. Bless. Unless of course you really are trying to be humorous... -
I thought that goal was a bit unfortunate as I don't think it was an actual pass; just that the ball looped up high and wide out of a tackle, and all a bit unexpected. Their first goal was after some penalty area pinball and we should have done better and the last was Davis' near post again.., so I live in hopes of improvement. Wanyama looks the business, Lovren a bit slow but a great saving tackle and you can see why we haven't bought a back up to Clyne. The real disappointment was Gaston, and Cork only looked comfortable more forward and not when he was defending. Guly looked much more interested than last season, and his body language was better, although he's always worked hard. An enjoyable game; Lallana actually shooting well for his goal, Morgan swapping the ball from one foot away from the keeper and finishing with his left and Hoiiveld's I don't think from Lallana's free kick but keeping it down well when it came out to him from a defender's clearance.

I suspect Turkish would be a blackleg miner..

Being away I think I only saw a couple of games live last season, and one of those was up at Citeh in the opener. My rough rule of thumb that he didn't look out of place was easily passed: he looked comfortable and composed, and that in a position where you are involved and can easily be found out. An 18 year old premiership footballer in midfield: can't think off-hand of any others.

C****t Barry, that's the first post where I've ever agreed with you!

I wasn't going to go to the friendly this week-end - short of money and just moved house - but the chance of cheering on Lambert is making me reconsider. Anybody else thinking of changing their mind?

So are we organising a charabanc party to Wemberlee then?
-
Know what you mean. Looks like MP is really pleased for him too. SRL looking fit in those pics too.

Bloomin 'eck, a serious non-surrealistic post from Bearsy! Have to agree with some of the others: it's not a question of opinions but how they are put forward. There's a tedious edge to so many of them, let alone their sheer boring repetivity.

Paid out of PTS Nutjob funds, I presume..

Not this one Bearsy, please, not this one.

FT at 'Boro.. 2-1 :-)
-
4-1 for Pompey on the bookings though...
-
U18s, I'd have thought, with Wanyama and Jimmy Case on as enforcers just to make sure their bruisers don't do any damage..
-
I 4-1 am really ****ed off. Why didn't I get that 66-1 on relegation. Still, the laughs make up for it..
-
Another amendment...
-
B*****cks, I never did get that bet on at 66-1..

As an aside, it's funny what you do and don't remember. I recall it being patently obvious that Andy Townsend was angling for a move when he suddenly and noticeably just stopped trying and shortly afterwards he departed, never to mention Saints again.
-
I seem to remember that as well but as fans we live in hope..

Ooh, as a betting virgin I'm still naively tempted. Book closes at 12.00, but the prospect of buying drinks down a local pub in the PO area if I win is strangely alluring.
