It's foul, wet, windy, and dark out there and I'm glad I didn't win in the ballot for today. I hope the dismal northern weather doesn't favour Sheffield. On the other hand I'm playing this afternoon so either way will get wet and cold; and muddy..

Not sure if there's a mechanism for dealing with individual games like that. I can't make the Sheffield game on the Sunday as it's our first game back in local football so told them, as I still want to be in the draw for subsequent games in the next tranche. "If you are selected for a game and you are unable to attend, you will not receive a refund for that fixture as the Season Ticket terms and conditions will be in place. Your name will be in the ballot for every home Premier League fixture." Missing the point that the tickets are not transferable and if I'm unable to go that will be one less in the stadium. Chances are I won't be successful but I suppose they are faced with a big administrative burden at the moment to be able to deal with individual cases. I'm just a bit 'meh' about it all.

True, and although I like Armstrong I can't help feeling Covid has taken the edge off his game, although you'd assume the sports science staff would be keeping an eye on his basic health and stats. Yes, I like him too but the moment that turnover occurred I thought 'oh no', and these incidents do colour your views. Just a bit too ambitious in the wrong place, but it's not a fundamental weakness. The fact that many of us are both happy and disappointed with the draw does indicate progress is being made!

That would make sense and I'm sure they have the technical resources to identify the source of the problems. Nothing wrong with being strong _and_ flexible. The body is a strange complicated thing: I once got Achilles tendonitis due to running with an uneven pelvic girdle and the cure was a regular specific stretching exercise. Let's hope the solution for Djenepo is as simple. Lots of players can do flicks in training but to have the confidence and execute it so well in a match was just delicious.

Not many nibbles today Noodles! If you go below the line to the comments on newspaper match reports there's loads of sniping between supporters of teams in the cities of Liverpool, Manchester and London. We, and Newcastle for that matter, have no such traditional rivalry.. (with any teams that are worth bothering about). Our media presence doesn't generate the crap the other teams get, which is by and large welcome, in my opinion.
