  1. Believe he started out as a journalist then presenter, then some genius at the BBC thought he was qualified to talk about football on the TV because he made no secret of the fact he's a football (and WBA) fan. As you said, a boring tosser at best.
  2. Can we not just have 90 minutes of deafening "who the **** is laughing now", only pausing for the 4 or 5 goal celebrations?
  3. Good news. That's going to be some week of football with Reading on the Friday as well. Might take the week off as I won't be going to work on the Tuesday anyway.
  4. Derby to win, Reading to win, Yeovil to win, Leicester and Brum to draw, Cardiff and Hull to draw..... ....would make me very happy

Hurricane fly and Zarkandar one-two please
  6. Exactly this. Apart from I think we're having 2 nights out in Newcastle. Missing this is not an option. How gutted would you be if you missed it due to being a pussy about a long trip or a few quid spent..... Nothing would beat a promotion to the prem party.

Had Al Ferof. Made a mistake but Sprinter Sacre would've had that in the bag anyway. Got Tullamore Dew e/w in the next one, and a small bet on Noland @20/1. Not that I know what I'm doing - I rarely win anything.
  8. Not bad news at all. The option is there to drive up on the day and still have plenty of drinking time. Will probably still go on Friday though and stay in Newcastle for a weekend on the p*ss. Train can't be too expensive from Newcastle to Boro. There should be plenty riding on the game, I really can't see why anyone who would want to witness a promotion party, would be put off because it's on TV. I like to think there will be an army of Saints making the long trip for a messy weekend and be rewarded with a promotion party. Yellows!

    Train tickets

Groupsave for London is the same price on the day as it is in advance. Just turn up and pay on the day (but leave enough time to queue for the ticket office). Also, ask for a railcard when you're sorting your tickets, if you're planning on moving around London on the tube. Worked out at about £78 from Swanwick to South Bermondsey with railcards when we went for the cup game. And yea, Great Western cancel the groupsave offer whenever there's a sporting event on that might involve fans using their service. Cvnts
  10. Fittie.
  11. Well deserved, top player and a top lad.
  12. Wrap up promotion away at Boro, with a mad weekend on the ****, then win the title at our promotion party against Cov

    Texas Hold'Em

I used to play quite a lot, haven't had as much time for it recently. Last time out I was playing a 50p/£1 cash table at Grosvenor after a night out. I sat down at about 1am with £50, walked out at 8am with £410. Played a £300 pot that night, flopped a set of 10s against AA and got all the money in on the turn. Was sh*tting myself despite the bloke needing to catch one of the 2 aces to beat me.
  14. Can't wait for this. 16 of us getting an early train up for an all day beer session. Think we'll win at a canter.
  15. Shocked how few posts are by people in and around Southampton! Wasn't going to post as my history isn't at all remarkable, but thought it might focus the thread. 24, Electrician, moved to Warsash from Bristol in 1995 and now living in Whiteley, although I've spent the last 2 years worki g in Hull and Warwick during the week. Parents are WHU 'fans' so had no help there, I got hooked on Saints because of schoolfriends. First game was 3-0 win over Sunderland, only remember that as it was the game before we beat United 6-3 in 1996. First away was Leicester in the first season after relegation, been a season ticket holder every season since, bar last year due to being stuck working at the other end of the country. It's currently taking over my life and loads of my money as we've got a really good group of lads who are there most weeks home and away, it just makes it expensive as we're on the p*ss all of the time
  16. Limped off with a groin strain on Saturday. (the game that was shown live on TV, against Leeds) Someone said they talked to him and he said he could be out for a few weeks
  17. Not good enough IMO FFS.
  18. I wasn't alone in thinking Guly and Harding had poor games then?
  19. The opening of Block 43 made it ridiculously slow getting out last night. It is annoying that they open the block, but nothing else to compensate for the extra numbers. Huge queues at the turnstiles lead to missing KO again, wasn't so bad in the concourse due to it being midweek, but then it took forever to get out after the game. Irritating.
  20. Yep, I'm glad that's the end of midweek games for this season. Looking forward to another 3pm Saturday game this weekend. Pub at 9am for an all day effort.
  21. To be fair we only do really sing when we we're winning. We were useless until we scored. At best, during one of the songs that did get going first half, 20% of people around me were singing. That said, I don't really see the point of this thread though. With 3 mins of normal time to go, there's not really much time to get songs started when it's end to end.
  22. -------------Super Kelv---------------- -Frazer----Fonte----Hooiveld----Fox- Chaplow---Cork-----Morgan----Lallana ------------Lee------Lambert----------- Subs: Martin, Hammond, Guly, SDR, Sharp Saints 4-0 Barnsley It all comes together and the wrist-slashers go back into hiding until we drop points again.
  23. I really don't know what game some people were watching last night. Lambert rubbish? - how about the 10+ flick ons he won to let us run in behind/gain possession. And a couple of very good through balls. Oh, and a good finish for our only goal. Lee not delivering? - he was everywhere. Made top quality runs, pulled their defence all over the place, and holds the ball up very well. Didn't get any real chances, but he was involved in a lot of our best play Lallana off his game? - He should have done better with a couple of shots, but was still by far the best player on the pitch. Yes it's disappointing to concede late, but if we hadn't, and won 1-0, none of this rubbish would be posted on here and everyone would be saying how well we played. That was one of our best attacking performances for a while. If we create that many good chances every week, we'll win most games and have no problem getting promoted. So many WUMs and drama queens on here.
  24. Is it just me or do they seem to play someone sh*t every week? I know they beat Boro away recently but they seem to be beating all the teams that they'd be expected to beat, and usually only by the odd goal. I think we'll keep plugging away and pick up enough points to stay above them. The game against them at SMS is starting to look huge though.
