And what if the vast majority of the public want neither?
-
Do you really think forcing the public to choose between a Corbyn government or a no deal Brexit is a fine example of democracy?
-
You will get one easy.
-
That’s just nonsense, he doesn’t even need to get a trade deal yet, just a new withdrawal agreement with a workable solution to the NI border. He can’t get it because it just doesn’t exist. To have the Brexit he promised there needs to be a border, it’s that simple.
-
Nothing stopping Boris going to Brussels and actually negotiating a deal.
-
And Boris has until the end of September to present his alternative arrangements (which we all know do not exist), hence the current chaos.
-
So a second refurendum is undemocratic but forcing the public to choose between a Corbyn government and no deal is ok? That’s no choice anyone should have to face, If Boris forces that on us I think he will regret it big time.
-
Can’t see that happening, I expect both The Tories and Labour will get a kicking if there is a GE.
-
Peterborough was one of the most pro Brexit constituencies yet voted in Labour a couple of months ago so not sure about that.
-
That’s probably the problem!
-
I can’t believe we’re going to face another general election, which will effectively just be a choice between a Corbyn government or a no deal Brexit. Greening is spot on over this: [it] is a lose-lose general election for Britain. A far better way of resolving a path forward on Brexit is to give the British people a direct choice between the different options on Brexit themselves, rather than a messy general election which I believe all the evidence suggests, will be yet again, inconclusive in a route forward on Brexit." Chances are we will end up with another hung parliament and absolutely nothing will change with regards to Brexit.

That’s good news. It’s not the same without fearing for your life on the walk to and from the station.
-
Except the Northern Ireland border which will have zero controls.

£50 seems like a bit of a threshold for me. I stumped it up for the Liverpool game but don’t think I will again.
-
Havn’t they always been prepared to give us more time?
-
Think it will do, many of the usual ‘bingo bus’ away fans tend to get put off by all the agro.

Boring old c*nts

Plus there was a queue of people lining up to buy Saints so it would have been irrelevant what we could cobble together, we couldn't have brought it without serious dough.
-
That would all be irrelevant anyway, it is essential we pretend the public knew what was being voted for and plough on regardless of how much of a sh!t idea it appears. It is vital that we ignore all facts and experts and just honour the vote.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Just looks to me like a desperate act for a party that has painted itself into a corner. Even if they force through a no deal AND win the next election they still have to make a success of Brexit or they are finished as a party. If no deal Brexit is a disaster we will soon have a new government, second vote and be back in the EU. -
Excellent!

Almost as hilarious as Brexiteers claims that they are the people standing up for democracy. -

If Boris ploughs on with this no deal it makes sense for Scotland to leave the UK and NI to join up with the republic. Obviously the NI thing would cause all sorts of problems, would get very bloody. -
Obviously, but it was never really clear what out meant. The logical thing to do would be make a decision when more facts are known. It obvious why Brexiteers are terrified of a second referendum, and it is nothing to do with preserving democracy. It’s because they know they would lose.
-
Yeah great idea. Lets all pretend everyone knew what they were voting for back in 2016 and just plough ahead with no deal regardless of how bad the outcome. The country will be divided whatever happens, not sure how that stops the country working and trading as usual, just means there are a load of people moaning on twitter.
