If these people are " greedy" as you they sound exactly like your sort of people. It's typical of people today that they are more concerned with the thought of these people landing in their country than why they are so desperate to leave the lives they have that they risk almost certain death.
-
So someone is desperate enough to escape their poverty they are willing to cling to the undercarriage of a jumbo jet for 10 hours, they plunge to their death after enduring hours of freezing temperatures an little oxygen and you have no sympathy at all. Wow! You're a pleasant chap.

That's what I find so amazing about the whole situation over there. The democratically elected government seem powerless to even try to do anything about the whole mess. I don't want to drag up the whole dumb yank stereotype again but **** me it's not rocket science, if less people have access to guns less people will die. They either don't give a sh!t, are too thick to grasp the concept or there is something seriously wrong with the democratic system which means the will of the people is ignored.
-
I expect the main reason for them being so desperate to leave is what's happening in their home country. Trying to cross the Med in an over-crowded, ****ged out old fishing boat is near suicide even with a few navy boats hanging around.

Fixtures out tomorrow - who will we get first game?

They are probably wrong, I expect Bournemouth will be away because they are having work done to their ground as well. That should mean we are home. -

There will be leaks because the clubs get sent the lists before they are made public so some people already know. -
They were trying to cross the the Med long before the Royal Navy turned up, and will continue to do so afterwards as long as the problems in their homelands are not sorted out. It's good that the navy are saving lives, this is the sort of thing our services should be used for instead of starting wars for oil.

England are just sh!t at football full stop, apart from one time donkeys years ago when we had home advantage and a dodgy lineman we have achieved next to nothing. 1 semi-final isn't it? We are way way below countries like Holland.

I'm still trying to work out what Henderson is good at.

How the **** does Walcott not get in that side. Garbage.
-
That's disgusting, who the **** chose green!

If someone from some African ****hole managed to earn and save £1000, travel across Africa to a lawless state riddled with conflict and risk their lives trying to cross the Med on an overcrowded, knackered old fishing boat - they have displayed the required attributes IMO.
-
Escaping torture, persecution, a country in grinding poverty or a failing state due to wars we have caused - not a huge difference IMO, I'm glad we are helping them. You have to be pretty desperate to do what they are doing.

It's all about money, and thanks to the Premier League we p!ss all over some clubs with bigger fan bases and better history. It's not methodology, just maths.
-
Yep, money. Lots and lots of money.

That was qualifying for it, I don't think I have heard or read a single thing from any Saints fan or anyone ever about us winning the bloody thing.

He's obviously going to leave, let's not kid ourselves.

I couldn't think of a region that deserves a World Cup less than the Middle East to be honest. It's offered precious little to World Cup football except got the odd sh!t team that's got through to the group stage just because the qualification system favours them over better teams from Europe. If the countries are not killing each other over some pathetic religion they are mainly run by corrupt governments riddled with greed with little interest in human rights or fair democracy and often intolerant, sexist and homophobic. A good fit with FIFA in its current form, and the opposite of sporting fair play. It would be fantastic if the World Cup is moved from Qatar, I don't think hardly anyone in football wants them to have it and this whole FIFA shambles opens the door for it to happen. Their whole bid was bullsh!t anyway 'air conditioned stadiums etc' I expect it could easily be stripped from them for winning the bid under false pretences. -
Holy sh!t, you're still banging on about that! You boring bastard.

Probably. Still can't see it going ahead. The whole thing will be a farce. -
Must have been that letter the South Africans released today.

The thing is FIFA have a billion sat in the bank and their reason for that is that they cannot get insurance should a World Cup not go ahead. Qatar won't lose out, everyone has lined their own pockets, Qatar will get compo and the U.S. get the World Cup - everyone wins.
