Our match of the season is next Saturday

Complete nonsense, it's our best chance for years. We are a good outside bet. -
That's actually true, these people don't like the corruption being exposed. That's why the Panorama programme was met with such hostility instead of being welcomed.

The Police compensationj culture continues

So if it was proven that he was bullied at work surely the plod responsible for the bullying should be sacked without receiving any compensation? -

The pensioner was a w@nker and deserved to get his windows smashed in but the compensation to both is just bonkers. -
It is a joke, he is just propped up by FIFA reps of equally corrupt sh!t-hole countries who are all on the gravy train themselves. Things that are considered corrupt and a scandal over here are just the norm in many cultures.

Dunno for sure, lets pump 36,000,000,000 tons of it out into the atmosphere every year and find out what happens. What could possibly go wrong? -
It doesn't matter what the people call themselves PCS or Police, fact is something is wrong when for decades they didn't think it was worth following up and all of a sudden it is because of the publicity of one high-profile case. You either have innocent people having their good name needlessly ruined by people with vendettas or real crimes being ignored for decades because the police didn't want to prosecute famous people - either way people have f*cked up and should pay the penalty. Any plod that didn't want to prosecute because the person was famous should end up behind bars because they have been complicit in the future crimes.
-
It was an obvious red, there is no way in a million years it will be overturned by anyone.

Wether Roache did it or not you have to question why the plod thought they had a case with such flimsy evidence. One woman had "no actual memory" of the offence, one couldn't even remember how old she was. It seems to me the police are just trying to cover up their own historical failings and bringing pointless cases to court. There needs to be an inquiry and the police who didn't act back then should be put behind bars. Nothing will happen though because the plod will just close ranks and protect their own as usual.

2001-2010 was the warmest decade on record. -
Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?

I assumed he gave up designing stuff after the "Saints Go Wilde" t-shirt debacle. -
I would go for; Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Sturridge Chamberlain Lallana Rooney It's a shame Walcott got injured, he's one of the few players who could make the difference at that level. I think our hopes now rest with Sturridge, Chamberlain and Lallana.
-
Lallana and Lambert, but if Carroll starts playing well I can see Lambert being left behind. Unless there is an injury crisis there is no way they are going to throw any of the others in at this stage - way too late. you don't give youngsters their competitive debut in a World Cup finals unless you have to.
-
Maybe loaning out their top scorer wasn't such a great idea.
-
They all played well but Lallana was unplayable in the second half. Should walk into the England side playing like that.
-
What a performance!
-
Lallana could quite easily be England's salvation at this world cup, no one else is close.
-
****ing awesome goal

Awesome goal

Problem is you can pretty much guarantee we will get injuries, and in this league it is a fine line between success and failure.

Prince Charles has spouted some b*ll*x before but doesn't make his headless chickens comment any less true. It's amazing how people refuse to believe the science just because of how it might effect their lifestyle. As long as they can drive their 4x4 w@nker-mobiles around guilt free, that's all that matters. Prince Charles is also a shining example of why nothing will/can ever be done about climate change anyway, despite his beliefs he is happy to carry on with the lifestyle that must have the same carbon footprint of half of St Mary's. -
I think the difference between 7th and 10th is more like £8mill when you include the live TV fees. I still reckon if we are on the same plan that Cortese banged on about we would at least get in a loan to cover Osvaldo. Imagine if we make it to the FA Cup final, pick up a few key injuries and end up having to play Guly up front.

Prince Charles has got it spot on. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/prince-charles/10610108/Prince-Charles-climate-change-deniers-are-headless-chickens.html ""It is baffling, I must say, that in our modern world we have such blind trust in science and technology that we all accept what science tells us about everything – until, that is, it comes to climate science. "All of a sudden, and with a barrage of sheer intimidation, we are told by powerful groups of deniers that the scientists are wrong and we must abandon all our faith in so much overwhelming scientific evidence." I think football forums have more than their fair share of the "headless chicken brigade". -
If we don't replace Osvaldo it does hint at Ms L trying to balance the books IMO.
