  1. We didn't give a sh!te about the cup when Cortese was here either.
  2. We should arrange an open top bus parade for our 8th place finish so you and a handfull of other d!cks from here can line the streets and have a party.
  3. never heard of him
  4. Why would you need access to anyone's contract, the person with the contract has a mouth. I would be very surprised if there wasn't incentive based clauses in all the playing/management staff's contracts, especially given Cortese's banking background. Maybe the players don't get much for the cup - would explain why Wanyama ponced about like he didn't give a toss.
  5. Considering our league position it is bonkers that we didn't put more value on the cup. We will never be in a better position, safe from relegation, nothing to play for in the league, a strong first team and most top clubs out the cup. Really starting to lose interest in modern football, it's just about the money now. Very sad.
  6. I couldn't care less about Sunderland, our trophy cabinet is a ****ing disgrace. We've been around since 1885 and we have 1 major trophy. The same as Oxford United, Wimbledon, Luton Town, Barnsley, Oxford University and The Royal Engineers.
  7. Probably - and to be fair Lambert looked ****ged out today, I'm not sure I would pick him to play a tournament in the tropical heat of Brazil.
  8. But what other options have England got? Sturridge is by far our best striker at the moment. Rooney has been waddling around doing next to nothing, Welbeck - has even been playing recently? Carroll - done f*ck all. Lambert's form has not been as bad as some.
  9. I dunno, England are a poor side.
  10. It appears some rather knowledgable neutrals are also bedwetters: "Southampton out! No game midweek , great position in the league, why oh why would pochettino not play his strongest team .. Ridiculous! - Robbie Savage. "Totally agree. Disrespectful of the competition, Saints supporters, especially those that travelled, and the game." - Gary Lineker
  11. Have you even been to an FA Cup Final?
  12. LOL at the SWF mongs thinking we will finish above Man Utd.
  13. He was garbage today.
  14. Agree, who gives a flying **** wether we finish 7th, 8th or 9th.
  15. At least we have a 7th, 8th or 9th place still to concentrate on - wahoo. Should have rested some players midweek. Why don't our management just come out and admit that they don't give a toss about the cups, save all our fans the hassle of going to the games. Lambert's pathetic performance showed why we should have replaced Osvaldo. Our squad is just not good enough, Jos, Kelvin, Guly - doubt they will wear a Saints shirt again. What a depressing way to go out he FA Cup, to Sunderland reserves.
  16. F*cking sh!te.
  17. I'm not the best to judge because I tend to cherry pick the best away fixtures but our away support did seem to improve after relegation. I guess as we were in the top flight for so long we just took it for granted, plus we have traditionally been sh!te away from home so it often felt like "oh no, not Anfield again!".
  18. would be great to finish above Man U but wouldn't swap it for a day out at Wembley.
  19. Great stuff, absolutely no point in taking Ashley Cole to the World cup just to sit on the bench.
  20. No contradiction, a warming planet is bound to change weather patterns and the UK already has unpredictable weather due to it's position in relation to the atlantic, the jetstream and the tropical and polar air masses. I'm no expert on weather but it looks like the meandering jetstream that is causing this current extreme weather was also responsible for the extreme cold we had in 2010. IF climate change has made this the norm then it could be very costly for us.
  21. I think it's crystal clear that no one has a clue as to how climate change will effect the UK's weather which is one of the most unpredictable on the planet. Anyone with half a brain would see this a reason to be concerned about how man is effecting the climate.
  22. Not sure why you would need to rest the goalkeeper?
  23. A friend of mine had their house flooded over Christmas, it wasn't a nice situation and they have my sympathy. They have received a decent sum from their insurance company, enough to get a pre-existing damp problem sorted out and after getting a mate to do the work they will have some money left over. They accept the fact that a house near a river may flood, payed the relevant insurance and don't expect a government hand out on top. I have had to pay £60 for a tile to be replaced on my house, I'm going to have to pay for a fence post to be re-erected - how much compo should I get off the tax payer?
  24. I expect it was one of those suites that had a club legend's name airbrushed out.
  25. I feel sorry for them on a personal level, it's not a great situation if you are effected. I just hate this blame/compensation culture, no one is to blame for the situation except mother nature and the people who choose to live on flood plains.
