he was never really given a chance last season, Palace would be a good move for him.

I agree Redknapp could have kept us up but he had a difficult job so shouldn't take most of the blame. Wigley dropped too many points against sh!te teams at home. In the Prem it's the home games against the smaller clubs that you target to get the points you need to stay up. Winning away at any club is hard, winning against the big clubs home or away is hard. Wigley won 1 game the whole time he was in charge and during that time every home game was a "winnable" one. Redknapp took over a team in a mess and still had Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs to play at home meaning we had to get results on the road and against top sides at home. Redknapp must take some of the blame but Lowe and Wigley have to take the lion's share.

The thing with debt is it has to be paid back, do you really think these trillions can be paid back? To pay back what we all supposedly owe would mean austerity like we've never known. The public just wouldn't and wont allow it.

Simon Jordan's Book - James Beattie Offer

Fair play to Lowe for not flogging him. I actually think Simon Jordon is pretty sound. Has always sounded fairly honest to me. -
It's all just meaningless figures though, the whole World is in debt, the US figures are just as staggering. There will reach a point when all the World's governments will just decide to write it all off. It will be zero overnight at some point.

We beat Liverpool as well under Redknapp, but my point is that we shouldn't have had to to stay up, we only needed to because of Wigley.

We are heading for a massive crash of some sort, the current situation is simply unsustainable. When the first crash happened I jokingly said that we should just print sh!t loads of money - that's exactly what we are doing. The whole situation is f*cked. We are laying off our armed forces and poilce yet the bankers who caused it all are still creaming off millions. The problem is obvious there is only so much money around.

Redknapp could have kept us up but to say he should have is a bit harsh IMO. Wigley did the damage, Redknapp improved things and if we had a bit of luck we would have survived. It's easy to say he had "X" amount of games but in the Prem if you drop points against the poor sides like we did under Wigley the Chickens come home to roost later on in the season. If I remember rightly when Redknapp took over we still had to face Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs at home meaning getting enough points was always going to be hard.

Why the Republic of Ireland love in by the media?

Sounded good though, fair play. If that was England it would have been sack the manager/what a waste of money chants etc. -

TO Peculiarities when it comes to relocating ST seats.
aintforever replied to sotonjoe's topic in The Saints
I like a good moan as much as the next person but this is really lame, there are literally thousands of seats to choose from. -
I think Spurs have made a big mistake, Redknapp has done much better than the previous donkeys they've employed. Watch it all go wrong again and laugh.

I don't have favourite gear. If I see something I like I buy it, I don't give a sh!te about labels. Really cool people can go into a charity shop and come out looking the dogs bs, only fashion victims care about brands IMO. -

There nothing wrong with wearing smart clothes, I make an effort every now and again. Having a special outfit for the new football season is bizarre though. Definitely something homosexual about a bunch of lads panning their "outfits" for a day at the footie together. Chavs can't afford decent gear anyway. -

Ha Ha, I can just imagine you stood their in all your dapper gear, trying to pull some scrubber in the Northam! I havn't bought a replica shirt in years but I can understand why people want to. they are there to support their team and have a laff, not worry about impressing someone with what clothes they choose to put on. -

This thread is f*cking embarrassing. -
I don't think any heavily armed country is a good idea but I respect their right to a defence. As for who is threatening them, that is obvious. The US and it's allies have invaded two countries next door to them - how can that not be perceived as threatening? You need to forget all the anti Iran nonsense and stop to think our our actions are perceived by other countries. Slaughtering thousands in another country for oil - how would you react to Iran doing that?
-
Iran has a right to defend itself like any other country. Maybe if the US and allies didn't wage war on it's neighbours Iran wouldn't feel the need to spend money on nukes or subs. Good on em.
-
No point in trying. Problem is someone at the FA will se it as an opportunity to spend a couple of years being well paid for doing next to nothing.
