  1. Because driving a bus is a really tough job.
  2. Whilst I find the scousers' wallowing a bit tiresome I don't think there is any harm in releasing all the facts. Don't really see the point though, it was fairly obvious what happened and whilst it was a police cock up the p!ssed up scousers contributed to the disaster. I hope there is no witch hunt after the info is released, the plod didn't want it to happen.
  3. It would kill the competition and ruin the league - I doubt many owners would be in favour of it if they thought about the consequences. The owners of Man Utd, Arsenal etc don't give a monkeys about relegation, they would give a monkeys if the Prem became the dullest league in Europe and fans, TV audiences, advertisers and sponsors f*cked off.
  4. If the club want to insist I get the bingo bus that's fine but I will have to insist on decorating it with a dirty great big F*CK OFF SKATES banner. If the driver doesn't like it he can do one, that's a more than fair compromise.
  5. Never happen in a million years.
  6. Ipswich spent £1.5mill on Chopra, £1.1mill on Emmanual Thomas plus 240K on Cresswell, not to mention bringing in 9 players on frees (big wages) including the likes of Bowyer, Bullard, Ellington and Sonko. Brighton spent over 4mill plus some on frees, Derby spent £2.9mill, Pompey over £4mill. Saints spent about £2.5mill (750K on Cork, 1.75 on Fox.
  7. That looks pretty cheap to me. You are forgetting we are in the Championship. Ipswich, Brighton, Derby and Portsmouth all spent more than us this summer. Teams like Hull and Burnley still have parachutes so will have decent size wage bills, plus there's Forest and Leeds.
  8. I don't know how you worked that one out, plenty of teams have spent more than us.
  9. Maybe that's what they were signing about, "we're waiting for you, we're waiting for you, we can't fill our stadium, we're waiting for you"
  10. 11,261 and you could get 4 tickets for £44. That is p!ss poor support even for a small club like pompey.
  11. If we get through the group stage without Rooney then I would prefer the team to stay the same. No point tearing it all up just in the faint hope of that fat ***t actually playing well in one game.
  12. A draw away at Derby is a fantastic result, especially without our best player.
  13. Excellent point, smash the Hammers on Tues and we could be 5 clear. Just hope Lallana's injury is not too bad, losing him for a long time would be a massive blow.
  14. Easily good enough for the Prem.
  15. PMSL, think you might just be missing some numbers there.
  16. The next appointment is going to say alot about the new owner's resources/intentions. I'm tempted to put a few quid on their relegation, the odds will tumble as soon as they announce some Russian unknown as manager.
  17. Pardew obviously fell out with Cortese, it's not rocket science - both have almighty egos. I wouldn't take much notice of the OP, my mate works at SMS and they generally know about the same as bloke down pub about stuff like this.
  18. Excellent, much rather watch England without the fat chav ***t in the side. having said that, if the c*nt makes it on the plane just for the latter stages I will be p!ssed off.
  19. Fact is if it's OK for Israel to have nukes then it's OK for Iran. Just because the west are friendly with Israel makes no difference, we have no right to say who has what weapons based on who we like. If Iran has nukes the US will just have to accept the fact and shut the **** up. The US know that with the inevitable upcoming energy crisis any country with large oil and gas reserves are going to hold all the cards. I actually hope Iran has nukes because it might warn the US off another oil based massacre.
  20. I had a p!ss next to him once, in the director's guests room during the Poortvleit days.
  21. The US is obviously after more oil, what is happening now is a carbon copy of the pre-Iraq years. Iran has every right to have nukes BECAUSE of countries like the US. If Iraq actually had WMDs the war would never have happened.
  22. I can't decide wether Cotteril is doing a bad job or an OK job in a terrible situation. There is a chance it could really come unstuck if he leaves, it depends on the dressing room. I think we can trust these russian muppets to pick a complete donkey of a replacement so him leaving has to be good thing. Not many managers will want to risk their CV down there and finding a decent manager is quite a skill if you don't have a pot to p in.
  23. Immigration has definitely made a difference, fact is if you live in some Eastern European craphole then minimum wage over here is more appealing than to someone brought up over here. It's easy to have a go at the English scroungers but it is understandable why you wouldn't do some dead end job when you will be almost as well off on benefits, ****ing about on your playstation all day and dealing a bit of weed - in a way that is more entrepreneurial than busting your ass getting nowhere making some other c*nt rich. The tories have done precisely nothing to stop immigration or ease youth unemployment though so I don't get the original post.
  24. I wasn't judging you just giving my reasons for not wanting to up sticks and live abroad. I'm like a hobbit, can't see any point in leaving the shire.
  25. But it's not, that's my point. If the BNP got in power in the UK we still wouldn't have a country anywhere near as bigoted as most Muslim countries.
