I think you're being the most misleading. If someone is stabbed by a black guy, the police looking for the criminal will only stop and search black guys. That's the simple fact.
-
Pardew's done well IMO, people forget what a basket case the club was last summer.
-
What happens if they exit administration without a CVA, this season. Will they get the -15 this year or next?
-
I'm not exactly business brain of Britain but, surely it's either been paid OR it's with their solicitors?
-
A bigger ground makes perfect sense when we get to the Prem, the ease at which we sold 44K for a minor Wembley final against a bunch of nobodies, without even going on general sale, shows that the numbers are there. Last time in the Prem we regularly sold out, and that was without any sort of investment in the team or any real success. Every time the sold out sign is put up and people are denied tickets, you are limiting growth. Extending SMS is the logical thing to do, especially with the whole waterfront area from Northam to Itchen bridge in need of bulldozing and regenerating. Would be great to tie a new revamped 45K stadium in with a Marina/hotel/casino/leisure park/monkey petting zoo thing.

Gound share would never happen in a million years,

In theory, but when the administrator is being paid by the same crooks he's supposed to report than it's obviously not going to happen is it. The whole thing stinks, Saints played everything by the book, one cheque bounced and we had -10 which screwed up our entire season. Pompey screw us - the tax payer, out of millions and get -9 that wont mean anything because they are as good as down already. Just shows how useless and inept HRMC are, no wonder the country is ****ed if foreign criminals can sidestep paying tax so easily.
-
I knew they would wriggle out of it, hopefully Chanrai will bleed them dry after administration.
-
Do the BBC predictor thingy, I did it with pompey winning every single game (including beating Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Villa and Everton) and they still were relegated when given the -9. That's without putting in any major shocks like Wigan beating Liverpool. To stay up they will need to play as well as Man U or Chelsea AND have results go in their favour.
-
I think it makes sense to occasionally train on a bad pitch, if Saints spend their entire time training in the dome or on the perfect training ground surfaces it's little wonder they come unstuck in some boggy northern **** hole. Of course players should be able to play on any surface, but it's about being the best prepared as possible and surfaces do change the way the game is played.

Why do you keep banging on about Wembaleeeeee as if there is not a court case to shut the club down in 5 days time? Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The Taxman has shut Pompeeee Que Sera, Sera

I would guess the real reason Storrie is still there is because he is mates with the Premier League Chairman, who was up to his nuts in the whole Shinawatra/Al Fahim episode.

That's like appealing against a manslaughter charge by admitting murder. "Your honour we couldn't possibly avoid administration as we've had millions of dirty cash to launder!!!" As we've seen in Luton's case, it doesn't matter is it was previous owners who are responsible, it was the club laundering money, the club not paying it's debt and the club that needs to be held accountable.

I thought that was weird, an administrator that hasn't completely gone through the books. I don't know a great deal about administrators but you would assume the first thing they would do was go through the books. Looks to me like they know something dodgy has gone on and are just covering their ass.

I don't think it's a case of good or evil, more a case of some people's brains just don't work right. Thousands or kids are brought up in broken homes, watching porn and violent films etc, what Venables and that other kid did is almost unheard of. We pay people to reform and asses them but they don't really know if they are likely to re-offend or not, it's just guesswork. That's why in cases like this you are better off just writing their lives off, lock em up and forget about them for good. That Thomson will be living next door to a family somewhere, it's probably just a matter of time before something triggers that switch in his head. We are all at risk and it's all thanks to some do-gooder liberal softy somewhere who got him to fill out a few questionaires that say he's all OK.

Does he shave his plums?
-
Nice little slot for pompey to fill next season, though I'd prefer them to be a few leagues further down.
-
You can't help but think that there will be a final twist to this saga. I expect of the mongs down the road will think that HRMC can't possibly shut them down now that they are in an FA Cup Semi final, but truth is it wont make any difference to the facts of the case other than a slight increase in potential income. They could go from looking forward to a Wembley trip one day, then the next, facing up being liquidated and watching AFC Pompey in some pub league. What a fitting end that would be.

I think it's admirable that our society tries to rehabilitate criminals so that when they are released they can contribute something positive. But in some cases I think the cost is so much and positives so few it has to be worth just throwing away the key or just killing them. To commit another serious crime after what he did and all the time and effort dedicated to keep HIM safe, this scumbag deserves to be left to rot.
-
It's apparently OK because they are a different culture, like with the Jap's Dolphin massacre.
-
PES, has your administrator managed to dig out any evidence that your administration is legit yet? Genuine question.
-
Given the amount of garbage posted on here I fail to see how expats deserve to be singled out. Reading between the lines, it looks to me like deep down Guided Missile wishes he was abroad somewhere getting his flabby ass tanned.
-
I would say it's still 50/50 as to wether you'll even have a club to support in 10 days time so I wouldn't go buying your Wembley ticket just yet.
