  1. Can someone explain what Barclays/Aviva have to gain through forcing liquidation? How much would they get if the club was liquidated? SMS is worthless as anything other than a football stadium, the council have made it pretty clear that is all it will ever be used for. As long as there is 15-20 thousand people willing to pay £20 a go to watch a game of football there, surely it makes it worthwhile for the bank to keep the club running? Also if we are that close to liquidation why not flog that farmland, Staplewood or the academy?
  2. Just explain the lies, it's least you owe us you ****.
  3. Wether they believed there was a loophole or not makes no difference at all, the same loophole would have applied before the deadline, only the potential outcome nowhere near as bad. Wether we were good enough to stay up or not makes no difference when you take 10 points off. The financial situation didn't change that much from the 26th March to the 2nd April so admin was going to happen even if we played like Brazil. there is no excuse for how Lowe has ****ed up the club, either he did it on purpose or he was criminally negligent.
  4. We missed the deadline by 1 week, Lowe either did it on purpose or made a schoolboy error.
  5. Bringing in Wotton, Perry, Cork, Holmes, Pearce, Gasmi, Forecast, Pulis, Peckhart, Robertson, Smith, Scheiderlin, Molyneaux, Saeijs and Liptack would suggest otherwise.
  6. I think they got more because they have been in administration before.
  7. I dispair as to why Lowe didn't do it just a few days before, 6 ****ing days earlier and we wouldn't have to right off a whole season. Stupid ****ing ****.
  8. Does anyone know, if we are so close to folding, why havn't we flogged that bloody farm, or Staplewood? Those computerised eye gyms Woodward put in must be worth a bit. I don't see why I should stump up any cash when the club has plenty of stuff to flog.
  9. Surely the club could flog the farm, Staplewood, academy etc instead of folding?
  10. The administrator will accept the bid that offers the most money, if that is a bunch of fans with buckets then there is obviously no other credible bids out there - hence it being a last resort.
  11. I see the usual plebs are moaning. Of course it's far from ideal but if it's a choice between no club or a club run by a trust it's hardly a choice is it? lets hope they can organise something that may save the club just in case. All true Saints fans should want this as well.
  12. Why would we fold when every other club that has gone into admin has just carried on playing as normal?
  13. Oh when the Saints go Johnstone's Paint.
  14. Are you watching Yeovil Town.
  15. I'm sorry but Lowe has been shooting his gob of in every media under the sun, all he has done is point the finger of blame.
  16. That is rubbish good news.
  17. How does blowing 1mill euros on an untried French kid fit in with that?
  18. Pearson was a rookie when we appointed him, which made how well he did with us the more impressive, which made Lowe's sacking of him all the more crazy.
  19. Managers salary is always pretty small in comparison to players. Any saving you make on salary would be wiped out with just 1 poor signing (Scheiderlin, Gasmi, Peckhart, Pulis, Molyneux....) anyway so hiring a a manger because they are cheap will never be cost effective. Congratulations have to go to Lowe though, he has achieved the impossible - he's made Mad Milan look like a shrewd judge of manager.
  20. Awful idea, would be the final nail in the coffin for many League 1 & 2 clubs, like us. If this happens I will just not bother with football anymore, Sky's money has ****ing ruined it enough, this will just be the final straw.
  21. Most of our debt is the stadium.
  22. Oakley's a good shout, so much depends on what's left of the club after admin and who owns us though it's impossible to know what players would be suitable.
  23. We could be in the same league as Morecambe.
  24. I can't believe he couldn't have set up a meeting with the bank a week or so before the deadline, showed them the figures and come to the obvious conclusion that admin before the deadline is the only option. Barclays had nothing to gain by putting the club in even further ****e, we have basically written of next season before it's even started. Barclays would have been fully aware of the deadline and what it meant. It's either spite or Lowe's game of "hardball" went horribly wrong. The thing is if he was calling the banks bluff he had nothing to lose but the club had everything to lose.
  25. But the banks are going to lose out because the club they are trying to flog is going to be worth alot less than one that could potentially get promoted straight away.
