  1. Yep, I heard it was a Hungarian side.
  2. That's what I meant, the extra money would give us a chance to sort ourselves out but Lowe's Dutch gamble is going to ruin any chance of that. Surely if there is that much more money it would have been worth paying for a decent manager this season - that would have been a sensible gamble.
  3. That's ****ing typical, 3mill extra and we will be on -10 at the bottom of League 1 without a penny to scratch our ass with.
  4. So what happens to the Stadium debt? Is there a chance that some of the debt could be blown off or will the full amount owed have to be paid off? Obviously with a mortgage the house price usually covers what is owed but SMS is not worth near the £25mill or whatever.
  5. I think it's worse than that, you need a CVA otherwise it's -17 on top of the -10.
  6. How does it work then if we go into admin and two groups want to buy the club? Is it that the shares are worth zero and the administrator has to accept the best deal for the creditors?
  7. Lowe out and Crouch + a real manager in the intrim is pretty much the best we can hope for at the moment.
  8. Does anyone know if the set up of the company (SLH holding company etc) and being a PLC likley to make the administration process more or less messy than previous clubs? Also how will the credit crunch/recession effect things - will it screw us over or would a football club seem comparitively a slightly less risky investment in this climate?
  9. But "success on the pitch" is absolutely vital if you want ‘financial survival’. The club doesn't have a hope in hell if the people running it are thinking the same as you.
  10. I'm sorry but Lowe has to do what's best for the football team, worrying about how he is perceived or his position should not even be a factor. Anyway, having a successful football team is the ONLY way he can be seen as a success.
  11. There's a plan!
  12. Why wait til admin, the farm, Staplewood, Academy, Dome, computerised eye gym's, fish tanks - flog the ****ing lot I say.
  13. How on earth can Voluntary Administration make sense, we are only 1 point from safety?
  14. That has to be how it is, Leeds were still paying Fowler's wages for ages.
  15. That's what I am worried about, if it is announced in Feb it all looks suspiciously like a plan. This Poortvleit thing makes no sense, neither does signing players just before admin or going into admin when you are just a point of safety.
  16. No, that doesn't add up, if we on the verge of admin and certain relegation why the **** would you give a damn about the liability of a centreback?!
  17. But surely the cheaper option would be to play Lancashire instead of Saejis, Mills instead of Molyneaux and Thomson/Gobern/whoever instead of Smith?
  18. True, you cannot sign anyone when under admin. Still seems odd that they would commit themselves to spending more money on wages if the situation is so dire.
  19. I meant the housing development, Saints owned a large chunk of land in a half decent area of town.
  20. Why have we just signed Smith on a perminant deal then? Seems a strange thing to do as you enter admin
  21. Who's your source?
  22. And to think people hailed him as some sort of genius for getting SMS built! We went from owning a ground outright in a nice area of town to being mortgaged up to our ass in a ****e area of town on land gifted to us by the Council. Moving was the right thing to do but it was hardley a great deal. Surely the development at The Dell was worth a few bob and a better deal could have been done?
  23. It's going to happen so wether we accept it or not is meaningless. Hopefully Lowe and Wilde will lose all their money and someone decent will buy the club. Knowing Saints luck though this credit crunch/recession will mean that no one will want to buy it, the banks wont help out and we will be the first club to end up being liquidated. The only positive thing is the property market is screwed so there's no point bulldozing SMS to build flats.
  24. So if our average attendance this season is 17,000, it means we have the same income as a mortgage free club with an average attendance of 11,000. If that's correct it means we have the same spending power as Doncaster and only Blackpool have less spending power than us in the CCC (depending on other clubs mortgages). I am depressed now.
  25. The money situation is not his fault but the whole dutch experiment is 100% Lowe's fault.
