  1. Could SLH sell off SFC as an asset before it goes into admin to avoid getting a 10 point penalty?
  2. I agree that Lowe is not the main reason for the stay-away but he is A reason. When the football is rubbish the club relies on the loyalty factor of fans, why should any Saints fan feel this loyalty when the person in charge calls them "lunatic fringe" or "the lager brigade". If the club calls the fans "customers" they must expect them to behave like customers and choose to spend their money how they wish, they can't have it both ways. Personally I think sacking Pearson was a slap in the face to the fans, it certainly made me think twice about stumping up my cash.
  3. Good post Phil, the people in charge have to do something even if they are just token gestures.
  4. For the good of the club - as per other CCC clubs.

I think people would be more inclined to give him time if he wasn't part of Lowe's crazy experiment. We are basically managerless, where most teams have a Chairman, manager and coach, we have a coach and Rupes as Chairman/DOF. We have a DOF who knows nothing about football, working with a coach who knows nothing about the Championship, using players who in the main know little about being a proffesional footballer. The question is how long can we afford to continue experimenting?
  6. Have you spoke to him?
  7. His shares are probably worth close to zero so he doesn't have anything to lose with this last throw of the dice. Someone who loves the club would give their shares away to someone with cash ensuringthe club has a future. Lowe, Wilde n co don't give a toss, they would rather the club went bust than give their shares away.
  8. Why is everyone assuming that Fulthorpe is even remotely interested in trying to save Saints?

    Agree with every word.
  10. What did you think of the game today Scooby? Where were you sat?
  11. This is all so depressingly predictable, as most of us have said from day one - what Lowe is doing is the perfect recipie for relegation. Too many kids, foreign manager who knows nothing about the Championship, AND trying to play an open passing game. As confidence gets lower, opposition gets wiser, and pitches get heaver - trying to play this type of game will get harder and harder.
  12. yep, they might be below us but at least they have a someone with money in charge.

Pootaloo hasn't got a clue, if we were gonna get a manger from conference level we had might as well hired Nick Holmes.
  14. Complete ****e, I don't even expect a relegation fight after watching that, we will be down with no fight whatsoever. I thought these youngsters were supposed to play with passion and pride, half the ****s looked like they didn't give a toss. McGoldrick just strolled about like an arrogant ****. We will finish bottom by a distance IMO.
  15. I cannot believe they are still freezing Skacel out, even half fit he would be better than that shower of ****e today. Even if he does get appearance money it's surely worth paying if the alternative is relegation - we simpley can't afford to throw away any points.
  16. If we lose today we are seriously in the **** - I would say we go from possible to probable on the relegation meter.
  17. A good idea as long as it's done sensibly and doesn't result in relegation. In my opinion you should always play your best team regardless of age, if you are leaving out a better player just because you hope the kid will develop and be worth more you are asking for trouble.
  18. I don't disagree with what you said, except for the lose games part. We are not in a situation where we can afford to lose any more games than we have to because relegation will screw up any long term plan we have in place. Every single point is worth it's weight in gold this season. Balance the books and consolidate our position should be the only plan for this season then we can move on from there. Do you think it would be wise for Stoke City to implement a long term plan to get in the UEFA Cup at the expense of league points?
  19. In our position winning is the only thing that matters. If failure didn't mean certain administration and starting next season on -10/15 in league 1 then we could maybe afford to be fussy about what we watch.
  20. It's still making a commitment to pay £1m, something you wouldn't do on the verge of admin.
  21. I have to admit, if I didn't have a season ticket I couldn't see myself forking out £25 or whatever for a ticket to go last night. I don't think it's just the poor results or the fact that were watching kids, it's more the fact that it appears we are being force-fed a Lowe experiment that makes it so off putting. If it was a chairman we trusted, and a manager we respected putting the same team out fans would be more inclined to be loyal IMO.
  22. 2-1 Saints
  23. One option would be for Lowe and Wilde to pay for the above out of their own pocket. Could actually be a prudent move on their part considering relegation would mean administration and them getting zero for their shares.
  24. I don't think Cardiff were that good, Derby certainly wont be anywhere near the promotion spots and I didn't think QPR were great. We have played one good team IMO. It will be interesting to see how they respond tomorrow and Saturday.
  25. Legod you are the one who usually says "anyone can beat anyone in this league". Birmingham were the only decent side out of them IMO.
