Why on earth some of you expect Saints to pay him to play for Crawley, I have no idea. If he wants to go Crawley, he should accept what they can offer to pay him. His alternative is to sit on his arse, seeing out his contract and claiming his inflated wages.
-
Had a chance to score the fourth yesterday in front of the northam but tried to come back inside onto his right foot, instead of using his left. If he's so one footed I've no idea why we don't use him on the right more often.

Clyne has been class both defensively and going forward. Not sure what games the OP has watched to come out with that.
-
Been saying he's a liability defensively all along. His part in the Villa goal yesterday was beyond amateurish. Losing out on Buttner looks like an ever bigger loss at the moment.

Fair point from the OP. Having moved to the Northam this season, the atmosphere has been disappointing to say the least. People will sing prematch and for the first few minutes, but if Saints don't score early it goes very flat. We started a few songs at the beginning of the 2nd half yesterday and only sections of the stand were joining in. The majority were too busy getting stroppy with the team whenever a move broke down. As soon as we started scoring, they all started bloody singing again. Seems that plenty of us seem to think we're good, loud supporters, but the reality in the Northam stand would suggest quite the opposite for large patches of matches.

Probably as good as we're going to get you numpty.

I'm sorry that your reading age is so low that you can't understand a post. IF Cortese sacks Nige in few game's time, as several media outlets seem to be implying could be the case, how would people feel? Would we be flabbergasted and start losing faith in the regime in control, or would we back the board? That is the central question. IN a wider sense, how long would we be prepared to watch our club flounder around at the foot of the league before we felt a change of manager was justified? I have an uneasy feeling that Cortese will wield the axe before most of us would do and I'm hoping that the wheels don't come off should this happen.
-
... after Saints lose to Arsenal and fail to beat Villa at home, how will you feel? Why start the thread? Because I have a sneaky feeling that Cortese will react quickly to a poor start ( too quickly in my opinion), and that we'll be seeing Adkins out the door soon. I hope I'm wrong, but will we rally round or implode when and if this happens?
-
Here, here ... we might be rooted to the bottom of the table, but we can take pride in the fact that away fans will look up and admire our freshly scrubbed, exposed metalwork. Now where's that club radio station?
-
I think somebody might think you're a good judge of whether a pub is a goer or not. Personally, I think that's ****ing dangerous. Either way, see you Saturday.
-
Are you ****ed again? Perhaps we should get on the train with Griffo as well?
-
meh ... even had the cheek to put the price up.
-
I have literally just received a message from a friend in real life that suggests we follow Griffo's advice on Saints Web. **** me.
-
doesn't look very official to me.
-
Why isn't there anyone moaning about not getting priority on buying tickets after having had a season ticket for the last 37 years?
-
County Locksmiths in Shirley will do it for you. Price varies on make, but shouldn't be more than half what you've been quoted.

Brilliant. ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. CTRL+F5 reloads the whole page.

I think we will be soundly beaten by three goals to one. I fear it could be worse.

Nope. He's one who seems to have been well and truly frozen out and yet he hasn't even been sent on loan. Seems a little unfortunate.
-
He just didn't seem that good did he?
-
Small? Lightweight? Anyone got the stats to throw me off the racial stereotyping?
-
" ... and a new Olympic international." ... but yeh, I forgot to name him!
-
One of the 'agents' on Twitter was saying Everton were in for Butland late yesterday and that his asking price had apparently dropped to £6m from £12m being quoted earlier in the window. If true, this would suggest that Brum were keener to sell than they had first appeared but that they were just perhaps a little too greedy. Perhaps Saints' valuation of the player was, in fact, about right? What happened to Scott Dann. Did he stay put?
-
A potential thread for the lazy, and one where the resident stattos can use their knowledge for good... Suggest one of our rumoured transfer targets from this recent window and let another user come along and tell us where they ended up. I'll start with Curtis Davies please. Where did he end up or did he stay put?

I hadn't really thought about GKs until now, but you might be on to something there. I certainly have my concerns about the defence though. I think four quality CBs should be the minimum, and at the moment we have Jos, Fonte - and I'll leave it up to the rest of you to deicde what sort of 'quality' they are - and a new Olympic international. At best, we're left with three players there and one injury leaves us already very bare. Whilst Clyne looks quality at RB, the LB situation is a joke. Without knowing the Buttner situation, I can't help thinking we should have pushed harder on that deal if we had the power to do so.
