I can't help thinking that it was a bit early to be going shir or bust though. Our naivity showed I think. And to let them score more than one goal in identical fashion made me very frustrated.

you should have seen it delldays, there was even a skate waving a fifty pound note at us, shouting " ... all fifties mush". excellent
-
It was all worth a chuckle from what I saw. The highlight must have been the 'yoof' I saw get on his phone after the game and scream "IT'S ALL KICKIN OFF AT KFC" when the two sets of fans tried to charge each other but then got scared and ran away from each other.

What? The people walking down the road?
-
Shane...can you get down off the wall please?

I'm so, so angry about how easily we were getting caught out at the back for those last goals. Until it went to 2-1 we still looked like we were in with a shout.

good effort but not as funny as the one that refers to the "****ty pens" etc.

quite right

My understanding of the Groupsave fares was that everybody in the party was supposed to travel together. That means you're not allowed to team up with four people to buy tickets if you're not going to do both the outward and return journey with them. Obviously, it's up to you if you want to chance it and come back individually etc, but don't act like an idiot if the SWT staff do pull you up on it and try to charge you a penalty fare.

Congratulations ... you've managed to find a way to argue about the greatest thing to have happened to our club in 7 years. You should all be very proud. -
errr ... tangent? The post was about trying to blood five new recruits into a winning eleven. Injuries are a compounding factor; who would argue that Hammond isn't a key player in central midfield so to get a winning midfield, we need to ensure hammond has played with that four / five players? Hammond hasn't been a key player, is that what you're saying?

and fergie didn't bring immediate success

and it reminded that we have a real chance but no pressure in this game. I cannot wait.

saints win apparently ... kiss of death ;-)

A question for those saying results aren't good enough ... what's the solution? At what point do you advocate sacking Pardew and what sort of manager do you think we could attract as a replacement? It's one thing being narked about the fact we're not in the playoffs, but what alternative do you see?
-
yeh, stop all the moaning. The tickets are hardly difficult to get hold of. If you deserve one, you will get one.
-
I've no idea about Pardew's argument, in fact I don't think he's been directly questioned on the subject. However, I stand by the fact that you can't bring five players into a team and expect to stumble upon a winning combination straight away. Now, whether Pardew was right to expect to do that is another matter; indeed you may wonder what was so broke in the first place and whether he would have been better just to tinker. However, we've gone for wholesale change and have made many team changes over the past few league and cup games, and that has disrupted the momentum.

As I've just said on the league results thread...
