  1. Have I missed something? Has he left already?!
  2. I liked the last part - "their neighbours are much more interesting". Hmmm - a corrupt, secretive state with plenty to hide. Peter Storrie as Kim Jong Il??!

  4. I think it is the other way round - i.e. the money you spend on a card to which you have already transferred a balance "sits" at the bottom of the pile, as it were, gathering interest whilst you chip away at paying back the money you transferred from another card. Any purchases will be repaid last. This is how they make their money.
  5. ad nauseam
  6. Robbie Williams
  7. Shop assistants who insist on saying "at all" at the end of a sentence, e.g. "Do you have a Tesco clubcard at all" BMW drivers British men walking around towns with no top on the minute the mercury gets above 0. Ant and Dec Creme caramel Caravans Idiot White van drivers who can't drive for toffee and who then have the cheek to give you the finger when you have a go at them Anybody who uses a mobile whilst driving Secretaries of State for Education
  8. Am I missing something? "Blues table James deal"? Do they honestly think they have an earthly's of getting him to stay??! The deluded comments from the blue few beneath that article would suggest they are even lower on the IQ spectrum than we imagined! "He'll be the basis of a good CCC side"; "Lets hope we keep Rocha too". Seriously - what are they on??!
  9. I think the interesting thing here is that Pardew is on record as saying he wants to build a team that can go through the CCC. Say what you like, but players like Koran and Beattie would certainly fit that model. I think we should prepare ourselves for a couple of "marquee" signings - biggish names who will see us promoted and into the CCC.
  10. All over. Oblivion: prepare to welcome Portsmouth FC.
  11. If this I'd personally make one other adjustment and replace the 'New Forest' tree with a 'Southampton' Ship (not necessarily this one , just to give an idea....) Uploaded with ImageShack.us Like that - could somebody email it to the club (please)?
  12. Think we can assume Calderon is a dead cert given that Harding is now our only player to have played right back (and he's a left back!). Need cover for that position too.
  13. Good question! Can only assume both are still in contract, with (remarkably and incredibly in Pulis's case) at least a year to run. To release either now would be instantaneously costly.
  14. Disappointed about both Papa and Antonio. Hey ho.
  15. Blimey. Looking at that list makes me think AP means business in the market this summer. Can we assume that meaningful replacements for each of the areas vacated by the players above will be found?
  16. Just laughed out loud! V good effort SC! :-)
  17. I suppose mentioning Oliver Bierhoff is no longer 'de rigeur'?..... ;-)
  18. Martin did well, and as I mentioned on the back from the game thread, he grew in confidence. Fonte had a torrid time up against Howe. I just feel we need a brick outhouse to complement Fonte. Jaidi can do that job, but age and injury will increasingly play a role in how often he plays. Connolly was my MOTM.
  19. Watching the game today, that was my feeling exactly. We were lost without him first half. The difference after he came on was tangible.
  20. One if the advantages of being exiled in north Kent is that I am home already! Woeful first half from us. Fonte was having a terrible game and we looked lost without Lambert's presence and clever play. Connolly had a great chance after 2 minutes after a defensive Gills mess up, but we never seemed to get going after that. Martin had a few sticky moments, but grew in confidence, as did Mills. Lloyd James, however, was terrible I am afraid. Second half and Lambert on, and we are a different side. Papa brought a good edge to the game and we scored. Could have had a couple more, but it wasn't to be. I really felt for the Saints fans getting soaked as my son and I sat under cover. All in all quite an entertaining game, but one from which Pardew will have learnt much about those who will be staying and those who will leave. A new, box to box CM is a must, as is a CB. Possibly another CF to take the burden off Lambert.
