  1. Anybody else notice the DVD being advertised in the middle of that Mirror article on Pompey? "Law Abiding Citizen". Ooooooh the irony.....
  2. My closest game of the season: 1.8 miles home to ground, compared to 130 miles to SMS! I shall be in the Medway stand upper tier with my boy; one of the fringe benefits of living in Medway is that your postcode allows you to buy tickets in the home stand! If anybody needs any local info, just PM me.
  3. LTC, if I weren't already married with children, I would marry you and have your children. Even though I am a man. And not gay. Thank you.
  4. Random comment, but anybody else think Paul Merson's speech is slurred on SSN? He seems very odd to me.
  5. Well done Saints ; fantastic result. All we can do is keep winning and see where it takes us. Huddersfield just about beat 10 man Walsall with two goals in the final minutes. Hardly convincing on their part; they will slip up again and we just have to make sure that we are there to take advantage. The Force is with us, I feel.....
  6. HUssersfield 4 Walsall 3
  7. What, because it's written by intelligent men and women with a world view which is broad enough to go beyond thinking that immigrants are responsible for all this country's ills and that MI5 killed the "People's Princess"??
  8. I once met Richard Dryden in McDonalds at Fleet services. And I was witness to Carlton Palmer and John Beresford being locked in a car park next to Barnet's ground by an over zealous security guard prior to a friendly in 1998.
  9. Any odds on Rupert Lowe being the mystery backer? Karma, sweet, sweet karma.....
  10. Re-read that last line of yours.... And then try and understand what an unpleasant person you paint yourself as (though I am sure you are a modern nihilist who cares not what others think).
  11. This is LO's second game in 48 hours; they are bound to tire in the next 10 minutes or so. Time for us to really step up the pressure.
  12. Colchester 0 Millwall 1 (Morrison)
  13. Clinging on to the top 50 by my fingertips, in 42nd place. Watch out Granty, I'm comin to get yer.... ;-)
  14. Was it my imagination or were we completely omitted from the show's League 1 highlights? They included Norwich and Millwall from Friday but forgot all about us because we played on Thursday. Or am I not seeing the wood for the trees?!
  15. Leyton Orient currently 0-3 down at home to Hartlepool. Augurs well for Monday....
  16. A man after my own heart - always good to meet a fellow Harry Hill fan. :-)
  17. Theres' only one way to find out.......
  18. Good app, good service. I like it.
  19. What cracks me up about these threads Is that certain persistent individuals continue to post the "it's not good enough" "we have not progressed" diatribe, but not once - not once- does any of these individuals suggest a more positive, more productive (in their eyes) alternative. So I would ask this of the moaners and wrist-slitters: given our historical lack of success when constantly changing managers; given where we were 12 months ago; and given that Pardew has not been in the job a year - if not Pardew, then WHO? If not Pardew then WHY not Pardew? Until somebody can give me an alternative route to success with a statistical likelihood of another manager doing better than Pardew, then it will just remain hot air spouted by the permanently miserable.
  20. Thirded. Top chaps, top day. The first of many, I am sure.
  21. Why, on a day such as this, could somebody find it in themselves to highlight the one possible negative pin in a haystack of happiness? Even if it did happen, why draw attention to it?? This has been THE GREATEST DAY IN RECENT MEMORY, and given everything we have been through in the last 12 months, I frankly don't care if some mindless numpties with Stella where their brains used to be, decide to boo the man who has helped guide us to where we are now - on the cusp of something special. They are NOT representative of sane Saints fans, and they do not represent me, so screw them. I am HAPPY today and will not let the OP or any other miserable git put a downer on this day.
  22. Wonderful, wonderful day. So proud to have been there with my 5 year old boy, who was a star on what was a long day for him. Home now and knackered! Noticed another Saint getting off the train at Rainham (Kent); if that was you, I did shout "hello" to you and wave!
  23. On a different note, does anybody have experience of taking a camera / camcorder into Wembley? I would like to take some pics inside and outside the ground, but what is likely to happen when we go into the stadium? Will they be confiscated?
  24. Cheers for the good wishes Alps. Here's hoping tomorrow brings a pleasant surprisecfor us all. Otherwise, I bagsie first place in the Wembley queue. Got my "ticketless people do it at Wembley" t-shirt printed and ready.....
