  1. Think to a lesser extent you could add in Nigel Pearson in charge, along with Richard Wright between the sticks 2007-8 season. The latter from memory making some impressive saves to give us any chance of another last day escape from the dreaded drop into League 1, the former giving us a bit more of a rigid backbone to take out on the pitch.
  2. Of course we want them both fit, but there is a bizarre theme running through a few threads that leans towards Caceres already has the 2nd choice centreback badge on his shirt in some posters mind, the bloke ain't played a competitive game for over a year now due to a ruptured Achilles, but because he has a sparkling CV he is going seal up the defence instantly.......... it's this presumptive assuming that baffles me.
  3. Awww don't stop a good witch hunt
  4. Jeez would it? Why? that's Caceres playing with VVD
  5. Sorry mate but that is complete horse doings, he hasn't played for a year, I trust Claude's judgement on the decision to play young Jack over someone who hasn't played in ages and is very likely to be very ring rusty, Premier League isn't the best place to experiment no matter what is on your CV, Rooney was good once too ages ago. i would wait until Mondays U23 game v Chelsea to see how he shapes up.
  6. Bit of a shame 4 goals on the road but GD only improved by 1, should be high up the order on MOTD
  7. Waiting on whispering Daves counter argument
  8. Blimey Charlie get in
  9. Gabbi sets some sort of record
  10. Dave Merrington just done his nut at JWP being subbed as Boufal left the door ajar that JWP was keeping shut.
  11. Just as an aside I know he is plying his trade in a lower league but having put away his 24th league goal of the season, how did Billy Sharp never get a crack in the Premier League with us?
  12. Busted flush that boy
  13. Do wish we would get a bit gobby towards the officials with these shonky decisions if we see them.
  14. if you watched him on Sunday his energy conservation was quite remarkable, he probably expended more energy rolling about on the deck than playing. He was a passenger the team were more than happy to carry due to his ability to find the back of the net for fun, a few minutes before he did the deed he looked tired.
  15. Thought it was Glasgow
  16. Wooden probably fits better!
  17. Apparently FIFA and UEFA have a meeting at Wembley today to discuss video technology, pretty sure I heard than on South Today on Monday.
  18. Trouble is we got smashed to bits at their place only 10-11 days before the final 6-1 (?) WGS was fearful that we might get a repeat battering live on the world stage, he did want to risk subjecting the Players, the Fans, the Club, or himself to that damaging embarrassment. Shame really.
  19. As a listener to the Radio in my car pretty much all day and opting for BBC stations to avoid inane adverts and repetitive play lists, when you look at how much Sky costs per month and something like Spotify without adverts, its good value for money.
  20. The often maligned Jonathan Moss on the whistle for this game, that said in the league table someone posted of the points per ref we have done alright with him in charge of our games.
  21. Well absolutely chuff all has been done about Stuart Burts huge error, nor Marriners. If you choose to watch (which might be the case as the weather on Sunday afternoon is not looking clever) you can see him in action running the line in the Live Tottingham v Everton game, then you can enjoy the trill of Andre "perma-tan" Mariners whistle on MNF when he officiates West Ham v Chelsea. But then with Mike Riley at the helm of PGMOB that is hardly a surprise.
  22. See Martin Cranie is still plying his trade oop north with Uddersfield, got a battering of Citeh in the cup again.
  23. Mrs JBS has another point on the board, the few times she has seen him play she likened him to SRL, in one game they were on the pitch together and she said if you didn't know who they were you would think they were father and son, positioning stance, readiness. As I have said before she has a good eye where football is concerned, she thinks he could be a bit good and hopes it can be with us........... jury is still out on Redders mind!
