I hope we get to see the £40m pound note he speaks of, if only to see what colour it is and who the famous person is on it. Turkish has put together a proper squad that looks like great fun to watch as a fan, as games would be like going to Ice Hockey where you will be waiting for it to kick off at any minute, and when we play Arsenal Mr Wenger might actually spontaneously combust before our very eyes!! Me I would just keep the money in the bank and fill the squad from the Academy, with a foreign coach in charge how could it fail!! .............................. Just amazing that no-one has tried that before.

Hooray! Sanity and common sense.

Lambert, Rodriguez or Carroll?
John Boy Saint replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Trouble is in Carroll brute force does not work outside the UK as refs don't tolerate it, in Rickie you have a bloke who has wonderful vision for a pass and the ability to stick it in the back of the net, then add in the Lambert Wellbeck show in qualifying and I think that made folks sit up. -
He is trying to suss out how we play so that he can replicate it in Brazil and shut that plum Greg Dyke up by winning the World Cup

Jack Stephens to Swindon on loan?
John Boy Saint replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Beckham was sent out on loan to Preston by SAF (possibly when Moyes was there) Beckham said it was the best thing that happened to him at that stage of his career. -
Seems like a player who has coast along as hs default setting, but frustratingly shows that he is very capable and has the ability to be a much better player when he really has to get out of the hole he has created for himself with his work ethic.

First 3 matches are a stadium ban, not that it will be in reality as all he needs is a dodgy stream and his mobile phone, as he will have probably the best view of the game from his armchair......... That is unless Mrs Pardew drags him out for a spot of shopping!
-
So long as he introduces the concept of a Slap Shot when in sight of goal with 1 or 2 poised ready to scrimmage to get the ball past the net minder then: hoorah!! Where are they going to put the Organ Player!? Seriously though if he can keep the Southampton ball rolling in the direction it has been going in the last few years then what's to complain about, sport science, motivation etc has come along a long way since the days of SCW when football was still coming to terms with electricity, which we all know was the work of the Devil according to Brother Redknapp!

Doesn't look like there is anything for tea either..........

You will have to deal with the 3 days without trains while everyone makes their way to and from his funeral first. Still 52 is no age to pop off these days!

Not getting my hopes up too high on this one, Norwich have always been a funny side for us down through the years, plus add into te mix that they are scrapping for their lives to stay in the prem and Chris Hughton has the grim reaper in the corner of his eye sight. We just have to make sure that we come out of the traps like a greyhound from the off and put the game to bed early on, and with Ruddy in goal for them be a bit more quicker around their goal, none of this pit pat "after you" "no after you, I insist" nonsense. i can see Chambers back in, as he played well against Liverpool and I believe had a full 90 in mid week for England before Palace. As always though certainly looking forward to Saturday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino in talks over new contract
John Boy Saint replied to goneawol's topic in The Saints
Simples! It's his agent baiting the hook and dangling it in the water to see if there are any other clubs willing to show any interest with a bigger pay cheque to take a slice of. -
interesting article in the Guardian, starts with Bobby Stokes & 76

My Dad never took me to football, I found Saints for myself being my home city made it easier obviously, but going to Football for real was down to older school mates saying why don't you come with us on Saturday. That was it I was hooked. I could get from North Hampshire to Southampton into the Dell, a programme, sweets galore, and still have money in my pocket from my paper round money and the odd Saturday & Sunday helping the milkman. Despite having 2 girls and a Wife who will switch on Football on Sky before looking at anything else, we took them to Football from a young age and whilst the anodyne surroundings do St Mary's was not the same as going to the Dell for me they both took to watching the Saints through thick and thin like ducks to water, they had different friends that they would meet in Junior Saints corner, and now if Uni and work will allow they will jump at the chance to come to games (if Dads paying) but thankfully Saints don't turn Kids into adults at 16 yes they jack the price up but not to the full adult fare, but going back to my Paper round money getting me to football and leaving me enough for fags sweets and other stuff for the week, my Youngest working the same hours as my paper round could easily buy a match ticket but all the other demands and distractions involving money outside football these day would make it a very considered purchase for her. NFL mentioned support is without any doubt the way Football in this country is going, which is a shame. -
As someone else said the grass was left long too, a few shots on MOTD when the sun was on it emphasised that fact, and more so compared to the St Mary's snooker table surface. Fair play to Palace if they did cancel a last cut, we did the same against Man Utd a few years ago at WGS's instruction to the groundsman and we won with a nice goal in the 88th minute.

By by contrast the lad to the left with the blue waterproof on must have thanked his Mum after she told him "take your coat it might rain" before he set out for the game. -

If Champagne Charlie Nicolas's description of the goal is correct than J-Rods song should be, "He's sat on his aR$e, he's sat on his aR$e, Jay Rodriguez scores sat on his aR$e!". -
I just wish we would stop this F'ing about outside the box bloody smash it, and this powder puff shooting in the box too resulting in a back pass to the keeper.by comparison Liverpools finishing was the difference between the 2 sides. Liverpool have to of the least likeable front 2 they are both gifted players but they waste so much of their own ability and time feigning fouls. Sturridge threw him self at the floor and in the box and looked like someone had taken his toys away. Suarez winning the penalty had Fonte beaten yet he hangs out his leg to con the ref and win a Pen when he could have scored himself. Without doubt MOTM was young Master Chambers.
-
Without doubt MOTM tonight, fair play to him he has been given his chance and he has grabbed it with both hands.
-
Is he Italian?! I thought he was Argentinian! I also thought Mrs B O was tapped up by CMFG or coveted by WGS

Always the way.

not while they are still paying for Wembley they won't . Amazing that we get all touchy here but in France where players have been flashing the Quenelle, apart from being told they are very naughty boys it's generally been viewed with a Gallic shrug.
