  1. News to put a smile on your face, 4 Saints players, FOUR SAINTS PLAYERS!! Called up to play for England. If someone had told you 12 months ago that 4 of our English players were in the running for a seat on the plane to Brazil 2014 you would have been demanding a pint of whatever they had obviously drunk too much of!! Well done lads, and well done all Mauricio and all your team for making these boys shine brightly enough to be seen.
  2. At the bottom of the 21 Long. forgotten Nightclubs linked page I spotted this weirdness, and as some like weird stuff on here thought it was worth sharing. http://viralious.com/2013/12/29/9-people-you-wont-believe-actually-exist/
  3. My favourite too. If we are going with the whole traditional Saints kit, I wonder if we will look at going back to the Navy blue "knickers" (as the programme referred to shorts years ago) which were dropped for Black as the Blue would go a lighter shade as the season progressed due to washing. Then there's the Old Gold away shirt too to throw into the mix. Still as has been said very nice to see Turkish punting up a thread without being contentious. I hope they do have a dabble with his choice, if only to see him in his replica shirt which he will tastefully compliment with a pair of Reebok Classics.
  4. Where has Peter Dreary disappeared to? If ever there was an ITV tater to drive you to suicide it is him. But then any ITV commentator whenever one of the golden untouchable top 4/5 are being fawned (sorry) commentated on all of them must be sat in the commentary booth with their trousers round their ankles and a box of Kleenex to hand, plus have their voices controlled by the sphincter contractions of which ever of the top 4/5 team they have their heads up the backside of (sorry again) are on show before them.
  5. Always makes me laugh the line "of degree calibre". Most folks I have seen succeed in this field are considered pig thick academically.
  6. Last season Big Jos kept him quiet till he got kicked out of the game. Hopefully the last 2 games will be the kick up the bum the team need. Like others have said I would go with young Sam from the start as like we saw against Arsenal he is very mobile, and like most of the nippers off the production line not phased by the step up. I would have Rickie on the bench and bring him on for J-Rod as when Rickie does come off the bench he always seems to have a bee in his bonnet to perform, but with Gallagher on the pitch he will have an eager runner to feed with the excellent vision he does have.
  7. Doesn't Danny Higginbottom play for them, I think his uncle is the manager or something.
  8. Still got that Black & White screen then? ;-)
  9. Double Poo
  10. Whey hey!! We've travelled back in time to the beginning of October, cheers Glasgow hopefully I can now, at the third time of asking, erase the pain of stuffing up the 16th hole at the Society end of season golf competition 2 days running by sinking the putt instead of having a personal implosion and making a right pigs ear of it. I predict a 2-0 win for Saints v Swansea by the way.
  11. The "Semi Final ticket allocation is so unfair" thread would have been amusing, as it would have exposed the Gobshoites who pontificate on here, but through supporting Saints from behind the safety of a keyboard didn't have enough matchday purchase history to secure a ticket. Times have changed, leisure time is more valuable as many of us all work harder and longer hours than in the past, and leisure activities are more plentiful, folks put different priorities on their leisure time and will easily opt for the least line of resistance, and a Cup game for even long established season ticket holders I know, even at £15 is a good excuse to not to attend and do something different that interests them.
  12. Overall we seem to be very disciplined where refs descisions are concerned, with the odd exception here and there. If we go into this game knowing that we are going to get chuff all off Clattenburg, as I don't see him as the kind of bloke who would let accusations slide, then that will make it an even bigger test for him. Lallana being sent off in the 64th minute for something very innocuous would be most interesting.
  13. So they already had a Customer Relations manager, who managed to piddle off the bulk of the block 20 ST holders when they were evicted without notice. And now we are getting a Supporter Relations Manager what's the difference as I thought that in this modern day world of money driven football all Supporters were now all viewed as customers?
  14. I thought that Osvaldo lumping Jose was the catalyst for the emergency brake being applied to this, I can see in some bizarre way the fact that a £1m journeyman player keeping a £15m (or however much) player sidelined would have prevented NC having more big money to squirt up the wall on the next golden boy, especially as 2 out of the 3 £10m+ players were proving to be less than impressive. So shipping him out would have smoothed the way. I am sure all will be revealed at sometime in the future.
  15. Not a surprise if it is in his contract along with sod the cup, as Cortese was not impressed that Pardew pursued the JPT against his wishes as getting out of league 1 was the only priority. That said he thought the day out at Wembley was one of his best days out ever. However he felt that with the JPT in the cabinet Pardew relaxed and took the teams foot of the gas in pursuit of getting into the play offs at least. Still the team put out yesterday wasn't a naive bunch of squad stumblebums they know how the system works and how to play in our style yet our fluidity was hardly there to be seen, on the flip side Poyet stuck out a lot off fringe players all of whom would be fired up to be in contention for the league cup final in a couple of weeks.
  16. Even the interview from Perez was as much of a crock of $H1t as the performance.
  17. Pathetic!! I have just wasted 119 minutes of my life watching that!!! i really feel for the poor sods who made the effort to go up there, the club should be refunding every single one of them.
  18. Bloody hell a shot on target from big Jos of all people
  19. How the **** did he miss that!!!!
  20. The pitch looks a bit sticky with the odd quick bit here and there
  21. Good Luck Danny, cheers for helping to get us to where we are today. And he did also provide one of those amusing moments while watching Saints away at Watford. Whilst the players were warming up he came to the hoardings right in front of us to retrieve the ball, and being 4-5 rows from the front in a good old fashioned ground he was closer than many Saints fans had previously been. 2 middle aged Ladies stood alongside us, one proclaims "Oooh that Danny Fox he's gorgeous!!" to which the other replied "Cor! Not arf!" followed by some wag telling them to "Steady on Ladies".
  22. Just a thought on Tuesday nights game, we played with the finesse and swagger that had been stuttering to show since late November, with the players not being enamoured with him, you could wonder that if they knew this move was afoot that a dark cloud was beginning to disperse above the team. Especially when you sprinkle a little of what Jose said about the unity of the team on Solent post match.
  23. Still the questionable as the we actually only get to see that in super slo-mo the ref see's it in real time once only, the brush is so minute how can he see it from 20yrds behind? Anyway its all done and dusted now.
  24. Which if you watch the Brown tackle he may just brush the ball but he does not take the ball away from Gaston, in fact Gaston has actually played it in the direction he will run in towards goal, and takes out Gaston without actually gaining control of the ball or more importantly diverting its path, its exactly the same. Rose actually got a good contact on the ball. In our case I think the Clattenburg spat had a bearing on A the decision and B our soft reaction.
