  1. Why risk him let him recover a little more - last 2 goals he's scored on both occasions he has been wiped out after despatching the ball into the net. Let Adam and Che continue, Che is chipping in so tap into the vein while its running and Adam is not far off just needs to get his sights calibrated, if it ain't working, wheel out Armando. If we are playing like we have been a few games this season that will tighten the screw on Villa. Post match comment from Che post Watford about the competition now in the squad, pretty much said what we all want to hear, everyone has to be on top of their game now.
  2. In the back of the very good Hagiology (Google that word) books - there was a section where fans were invited to submit their story’s and memories on the book title subject. Pretty certain in the back of Full Time at The Dell, there is a great submission from a chap recalling going down the Saints with his Dad when he was a nipper probably for the first time, walking home he mentioned to his Dad about Saints losing to which his Dad replied “You don’t choose to support the Saints: the Saints choose you”. So there you go greater forces were at play that night - the choice selecting young Cyclon was made and you didn’t even feel a thing! 😇
  3. Get the impression that given the furore of the dominant Saudi investor and all the ethical hullabaloo surrounding them they are trying to project the right public image, when you look at the Saudis other two partners and directors in the deal they fly in the face of general perception of Saudi, a woman, and someone with Jewish heritage. Given the baggage being looked into to get the deal approved by the FA you can guarantee with the way the modern journalism works there will have been hacks instructed to don their mining gear and get digging the moment the deal was getting going. If word got out that they had lined up X to replace Bruce before they were rubber stamped to take over, that would have been just more flack to fend off. So not actually lining up X manager to replace Steve Bruce the moment they were finally allowed in was probably one less thing the media could throw at them, potentially prolonging the process even further.
  4. Blimey has Calvert Lewin not gone home from Trick or Treating in that jacket - that has to be a bet
  5. Didn't think the Saints choir had anything of that genre on the the play list............but then you can't account for the odd numpty whos had that second can of Top Deck Shandy and some Smarties!
  6. Norwich don’t seem to have any belief
  7. Have a peek at the BBC website and look at the Match report - you’ll see he had an absolute stormer getting himself the number 6 player rating spot on the list of the 14 players we used. that stuff of Legends 🤪😜😳😁😇
  8. Dunno - Armstrong was only a whisker away from hitting the back of the net with Foster a very relived spectator. Get his sights calibrated for this one and rattle a few in and there would be a certain smugness.
  9. She will be relieved to see another stalker drop out of the queue 🤪
  10. Hey it was quite cathartic posting my reply to your post - having had to reply to a customers snotty email whilst biting my tongue and stopping my fingers typing what they really wanted to say, and then being a bit important. Dont hear much about drunk counsellors - I guess that’s the last thing you want on the end of the phone at Samaritans thank you
  11. Excuse my French Mod's Fuck Me he is older than Walcott - been playing and living a right easy time in China - poor old Theo is not what he was. I know its almost Halloween but the ghost of Rupert Lowe has suddenly appeared wanting to get Graziano into the St Marys Stadium Retirement home to keep Theo company!! Its like turning the clock back to the days at the Dell when we eagerly hoovered up all sorts of old glue pots who's glory playing days were pre sepia. ...........is Alf Ramsey still around?
  12. I have many Dutch friends, and they all said Erwin is the tactical brains of the Brothers, Ronald isn't so smart and is just a mouthpiece to convey the coaches instructions to the players, who are not going to question him much thanks to his glittering CV. Erwin had a good career just wasn't as razzle dazzle as Ronalds, Erwin was "oh its only the other one". Strange how Erwin didn't seem spend much time at Everton and doesn't appear to have worked with him since..........coincidence?
  13. Did you get a little fizz of excitement upon seeing the page click over - Sorry mate 😁🤪
  14. And the Ricoh - MK Arena ..... Coming in from the North of the county its proximity to the M27 did have some convenience appeal, even the option to easily catch the train to Southampton Parkway held some booze minded appeal, but if the retail pleasure dome had come to fruition (which was the last straw) , the car park would have been 2hrs limit only, and all us oiks would have been "marauding through the gardens" of Stoneham Lane and Channels Farm Road - 20 years on being in the City does bizarrely offer up much more accessibility than Stoneham would have now - especially given the volume of houses being thrown up round there.
  15. That is a tad thin................he nearly buggered the whole lot up dicking around with Stoneham and stuff, everything was going down toilet until Southampton City Council galloped in to save the day with the St Marys site which was a bit messy for them to develop and not looking to be sold any time soon back then.
  16. Seems to be a Zimbabwean thing, we have relatives in South Africa and a large number of folk from Zimbabwe come over the border for work and these names are pretty much their badge of origin. Stayed in a Lodge in the Karoo en route to Cape Town, as we pulled up to the Lodge a smartly dressed chap greeted us " Hello I'm Brilliant - Welcome", not much pressure on him from his Mum and Dad, but he certainly lived up to his name.
  17. Felt the same - after the teams were announced the initial thought was hmmmm. At the final whistle there was a feeling of blimey! Great performance. What was noticeable - we kept on going, we were in Chelsea’s faces and they didn’t like it. “Oh but it was a Chelsea second string team” - what were we? We also kept moving, there was very little pondering on the ball, when we lost it and it bounced into space, we were very quickly to it first. Ralph was posed a few interesting questions last night, let’s hope he does have the wherewithal to answer them.
