Ah-ha @Viking Saint mentioned Mark Wright in his OP - in his early days, Mark Wright lodged right across the road from my Granny and Grandad in Dale Valley Road, Shirley. He had a Ford Capri only sticks in my head because I walked out of their house one day just as he came out, Granny pipes up “hello Mark this is my Saints mad grandson I told you about” - I was like Wow! Mark Wright lives over the road and she’s on first name terms with him.

Watching the Stockport v Bolton FA Cup replay - quite entertaining - some chap called Lloyd Isgrove got his trotters in a pickle to gift a penalty to get County back into the game.

Probably make a bigger hole 😉 Poor bloke 4 rows below us gets Japanese water torture on his left shoulder every single time it piddles down, 4 minutes per drip (coincided with the board going up one match then a bloke behind runs his stopwatch "thats the 4 up" splosh! the wind was up missed his shoulder direct hit on his head)

Wow! Thats quite a thing to read thanks @once_bitterne - very scary from his point of view. What a shame for him, and his family, for the brief cameos he made for us, only a complete tool would fail to have any affection for the lad to succeed in football - even if not for us. Good to see the club helping with his rehabilitation.

Atkinson and Mason - we're a nondescript game with hardly anyone watching - Atkinson seems to rely on someone talking in his ear to guide him through games since VAR came in letting them tell him what he should have seen. Watched a few games and the pause before blowing up for a bit of naughty play is often notable with him on the whistle.

Seeing the goal on Saints FB page the poor keepers body language was “oh ffs you have to be kidding me”. Surprised Kendall didn’t steal JWPs golf swing celebration, as that was deftly chipped.

Hard to judge him on the Blades game - those who were physically in attendance in Sheffield said he wasn’t as bad as some made out. Making your first start v a Championship team must have been a culture shock having come from a league where simulation is an art form. Then you face an un cultured character like McBurnie who would be up “for settling it out in the car park” most probably had him thinking “where exactly is the line in the sand”. Watching the Chelsea cup game, I thought he was pretty good , him and Salisu seemed to have a connection.

Or Mrs Smith piped up “if you think you are going to be sitting around here on a Saturday afternoon getting under my feet - kicking back on your compo - then you can think again Mr” 🤪

Just watched it on the club Facebook page - superb! - Great colour. And @The Left Back you’re spot on watching that you get a condensed essence of how it felt in the ground last Friday.

When you see some of the howlers keepers let in across the league Saints are in, that is a stand out save: even more so from a keeper who gets very little work to do on a Sunday afternoon

Or the friend of the hairdresser who cuts the hair of the cousins girlfriend who’s brother is best mate of a lad in the Academy……………..
