  2. To get a balanced view, you'll have to buy 2 or 3 papers to look at the same issues. Could get expensive so go to your local library for the real papers or go on-line for the virtual ones.
  3. You're right, from these links: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8086142.stm and http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/cigarette_tax_receipts_v_cost_of it's about a factor of 2, so keep smoking people, your country needs you (well your tax anyway)!
  4. I thought the FL had to also put it to their members to ratify it, they certainly weren't happy with the idea. I beleive it is end of May. Unlucky, life can be a bit ch sometimes.
  5. I saw it few years back, certainly one of the better reality shows, does it still have a bit of culture from the cities they visit?

  7. ...and most of those draws came at the start of the season (six in Aug/Sept).
  8. I don't think the revenue covers the cost of smoking related illness. If some one has the time to find out it would be interesting to know how close it is.
  9. I think it's a timing issues, bleat all you like when the **** hits the fan, but the Gaydamaks have been involved for in your club for about four years. Perhaps the fans should have asked questions and raised the issues BEFORE the buy-outs, sympathy would have been more forthcoming.
  10. I don't think he sees it as getting a decent return on his investment.
  11. So where were the protests from the fans when the Gaydamaks bought into the football club? You know the ones, the gunner runner and his son using his inheritence, turning good businesses into bad. How come the fans were not worried that: the debt was being levied to the club and not taken up by the owner? the accounts showed an unsustainable level of spending? wages were the sixth highest in the league? You were too busy enjoying being bought off with star players and dreams of a new stadium... ahh the good times.
  12. I think you should have spoken about it in her language - shopping! Say that if she had a new credit card with a huge limit and she decided to get the bag of her dreams now even though it would cost ten times more on credit. She then finds out the credit has ran out but she still has the bag and is doing nothing to reduce the debt.
  13. boo, walsall down to 10 men and penalty to udders
  14. I was expecting that reply but still laughed (does that make me bad?) JM, Perhaps you could phone round the scrap merchants for a replacement clutch, that may bring the price down a bit.
  15. housemaid (I think you have some issues to address btf ;-) )
