Hopefully a statement all will like, from players to fans.

Just hope we get someone better to replace him.

No.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/champions-league/10846759/Champions-League-final-2014-Britons-who-have-played-in-the-European-Cup-final-with-foreign-clubs.html

It should make flop of the year easier to decide! "The film cost a reported £19m to make, with Fifa said to have pumped £16m into the project, and flatteringly portrays Blatter, Rimet and Havelange as visionaries and icons of the global game. Blatter himself was reported to have tweaked the script." more here and here

It's strange that many of the US terminals are not set up as commercial assets with little to do or comforts. It's been a while but JFK and LAX are very sparse for that. Same with Basel and the security can take an age. Dehli was a sh!t hole which wasn't help by some blokes have a dump in the open space next to the terminal when leaving for the hotel. Best are T5 - organised, lots to do but hassle to go to the satellite terminals , Singapore - great to wonder round and best wash rooms, City - it's quick to get through, SFO - you board directly from the lounge!

wow, I'd keep away from heights, trees with rope, fast cars and drugs if I were you. I can't wait for all the I told you so threads from which ever opinion just so happens to be correct. "Anyone can cut costs, it takes more to do build." ... and there are many ways to do both and f**k it up. It's how it's done that is important. Cortese is being judged on five years and an easier achievement from bottom of League One to 8th in the Premier League. The new board are being judged to improve on that and have only had a few months to assess the situation. Hardly fair at this current time.

Atletico were 100 to 1 third favourites to win the league, I'm not sure what our odds were but would imagine smaller so backs up your comparison argument.

I'm sure that drum of yours needs another beat, otherwise all you'll get is scorn.

Plan for summer: It all depends on whether Adam Lallana, Morgan Schneiderlin and Luke Shaw leave. If they stay, then Southampton can concentrate on finding extra cover in central defence and the wide positions. If they go, and Mauricio Pochettino does too, then a major rebuild will be required. Transfer kitty: £30m Most mouth-watering rumour so far: Fabio Quagliarella (Juventus). JS from the guardian

Undersoil heating being installed at St Mary's
Doctoroncall replied to itchen_dan's topic in The Saints
This is what I thought the reason for not having it fitted was, being on the 'warm' south coast. If it's going to get so cold to freeze the pitch, I would imagine the safety of fans would be at risk and the game wouldn't go ahead anyway. -
Top work Bearsy. And a nice contribution from Pap. A nice summary of what BS was and it seems still is on other sites.
-
It could force the issue as it seems MP is their number one target. So hopefully the manager position will be resolved in the next few weeks.
-
I would agree, but I don't think spurs were in a position to keep him. Perhaps they could have gone to the next stage of forcing a player to hand in a transfer request but those days are long gone. Better to keep on the good side of players while negotiating a good deal. I think we will be in the same position with a few of our players.

TBH, all the world will see is a future player rather than a Saints player. After a long season, could be just as good to cash in now before injury than having a good WC.

Does anyone want my Man U ticket? Pick up from Brighton
Doctoroncall replied to bender's topic in The Saints
Don't worry, I'm sure another 30,000 odd will turn up as well. -
So much more lower league football to enjoy!
-
Not when he's having secret talks with Man U.
-
And I don't think we have now. Perhaps an irritant or two with little debating skills but still able to share an opinion. The worst part is the diatribe or the patronising comments especially on the poster.
-
- but that is in regard to their England careers. - consideration for them for a transfer would be playing at a higher level, greater chance of winning silverware, potentially more money against new regime/environment, chance of not playing/fitting into the team.

Pochettino press conference to start soon
Doctoroncall replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Tomorrow is another day when something else will happen. All we can do is wait for the end of August to be sure of what the squad will look like for next season. I just hope that of the first team regulars, it's two or less that leave and suitable replacements are in place in good time. We need squad stability rather than wholesale additions or changes. -
Depends on the incoming manager. It would be easier to replace one man than many men.
-
I would be happy with that and something that would separate us from the rest of the PL teams with having a core being brought through the ranks and generally being able to delivery more to the team because of it rather than buying replacements and 'gelling' all the time.
-
But then it would fly over SMS for us to receive such a message...!

A nice gloss added to the story... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/18/portsmouth-care-community-club-pompey#start-of-comments
