  1. They wont be able to if we continue on to compete near the top of this level!
  2. Alps you remind me of Fraser in Dad's army! him of the "were doomed, doomed I say" fame. Enjoy the win, the first on opening day at home since 1988 and winning live on TV as well as a club record seventh league win in a row, cant be bad. By the way lallana has more than three years to go on his contract so likely to be around for a while. I assume that was your way of praising Adam by intimating he is to good for us?
  3. All three promoted teams won! interesting stat
  4. 3-1 great win dodgey leeds penno 3 great saints goals
  5. Club record apparently
  6. I like it we look good at this level bodes well!
  7. Cork is just what we needed as a tough midfield playmaker reminds me of the Steve Williams of old
  8. 2-0 Htime I will take that at full time!
  9. Ahhh what great memories many thanks!
  10. Who predicted Brighton to win League 1 last season or QPR, Norwich and Swansea to go up from the championship? most of them were predicted to be mid table at best. I dont care about predictions it is results that count!
  11. Bookies have birmingham as 4th when they know they are bankrupt and will have to sell key players?
  12. Bit worried about MLG translates as "the first row yes he is mine?"
  13. Could it be that AMMAR is reading this forum and having seen the size of the so called fee and wages that the likes of Matt Mills are commanding has decided he is being hard done by and is hanging out for more? Hence the delay in him signing?
  14. half time? if there is one of course after 22.5 mins!
  15. My Grandad (A Yorkshireman originally) lived in Shirley and my parents lived overseas we always came to stay in Southampton in the late summer just as the season was starting. I always remember peaking into the Archers road end of the Dell from the top of the the number 2A Bus as we headed into town. Went through the turnstiles for the first time when I was 12 in 1972 and have been infected ever since. Went to University in Southamptont to be near Saints and bought a house in Poole to be near Saints. My three sons are all Saints fans with the older two also graduating from Southampton Uni the eldest of whom is now a doctor at Southampton General Hospital.
  16. The season has started at last!
  17. Cant recollect him slagging of the blue few when they almost spent themselves into oblivion! No consistency there then! The guy is a prat
  18. I can think of a lot more interesting dreams to have to!
  19. Err there are actually be countless reasons as to why he left eg. His wife wanted to go back to Switzerland He wasnt enjoying the work He got fed up with the English weather He didnt like football He didnt get on with his staff He wanted a change He was bored He needed more money His girlfriend lived somewhere else etc etc etc We need more facts before drawing any conclusions
  20. They own us as a business not as a charity how do you know who owns us and who has billions given we are not privvy to the will, also how do you know what commitments the current owners already have. If a relative left you something he enjoyed with an an ongoing commitment to continue spending your money on it, would you nbe inclined to do so. Even if it did not hold the same level of interest to you? There really is no reason for them to spend any of THEIR MONEY and we have no right to demand it. anything they choose to spend we should be grateful for. We should remember where we were without this family and how far their money spent willingly has brought us! It is a fact we made a £7m loss lat year and are still bidding £2.8m for Billy Sharp and hanging on to the likes of Llanna, Fonte, Lambert and Chamberlain in terms of wages etc. So they must be providing a considerable sum of money which we should be thankful for. Let us wait till the end of the window in August to see if any more is forthcoming before expressing disappointment with them.
  21. Parachute payments will come down once the sky contract is finished as it is expected to be renewed at much less than the last one!
  22. Yep Neil McCan't is certainly a call
  23. And got relegated! (Not saying it was his fault though)
