Results are generally as good as they could go at HT we could do with a Reading 2 goal 2nd half comeback and all others staying the same

Turkish we all know the season lasts 38 games! what we are saying is since the first 10 games we have had a good run far better than others and if it it continues we may will finish above Norwich and Westham. It is not certain but it is possible! it is also possible reading could too but less likely as they havr further to make up! We are talking probabilites and possibilites here not certainties!
-
Too true Check that tables added to my post above now!
-
Fair point but over the last 15 games, I would hazard a guess without checking, that we have accumulated more points than either Westham or Norwich and extrapolating that relative form over the remaining 12 games, COULD see us in mid table and above both! That I believe is a possible scenario, however should our form dip and theirs and others pick up, then of course, we are back in the not unfamliar relegation dog fight! For evidence refer to current form table http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2012-2013/form-table/full and Custom table for last 15 matches http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2012-2013/custom-table Edit note we have just 3 losses in our last 15 pretty amazing really! It will be an intersting last 30% of the season!

Too true but needs a bit of an edit although I understand what you meant to say!

Not sure what you are trying to argue here. What has been said is "We were a long way behind Westham after 10 games now we are much closer as our form has been better than theirs over the last 15 games"! FACT Ergo, if our relative forms continue for the next 12 games 10th place is possible! A sensible conclusion under the circumstances and given the facts available END OF! You believe we wont finish 10th under any circumstances. That is your opinion and you are entitled to it! Others believe it is possible even if not probable! That is their opinion and they are entitled to it too! So why do you have to believe anyone who holds an opinion contradictory to yours is somehow inferior to you in intellect? Hey, if football was certain it would be so boring and would we be supporters?
-
where did I say they were? however earlier on in the season they were much higher I recollect!
-
I think you will find that on points picked up since the first 10 games we are well ahead of Norwich and Westham it is therefore far from unlikely that we may overtake them should that form continue till the end of the season not saying it will happen but it is certainly possible!

All Premiere Matches live in the UAE!

Call it top divison and add Nicholl (McMenemy,Hoddle and Ball didnt have much English top league experience other than Saints either (approx 1 season each at Sunderland, Swindon and Pompey) also none of them were sacked) Bates had no top division experience other than us but was a one club man till retirement ! On the other hand our so called experienced managers were Strachan, Souness, and Redknapp (not sure Souness and Redknapp can cope without a large cheque book and even then it's 50/50) so is it previous top level English Premiere experience that counts? Overall Saints successful managers in my opinion were Bates, McMenemy (after a poor first season), Nicholl (for a little while) Jones (did ok ), Hoddle, Strachan and Ball (in fairly short stints) and recently despite what you say Adkins (with all be it a limited and difficult run in the top divison) not much to shout about with the rest of our recent managers was there? Seems that our choices in the past had a relatively higher sucess rate than more recently! so was stability a factor? or is it just that managing was easier in the past? Also Fergueson has not managed a top divsion English club other than United, Marinho (Chelsea) and Wenger (Arsenal) are two other cases in point. Not sure Premier/top English divison experience is such an important factor! In fact since the advent of the premiership managers coming from outside the English top division seem to have had far more success than those in it (Only Dalglish to my recollection has managed more than 1 side in the top divsion and he won his title with Blackburn his first team as manager) Based on the above NC's decision and the arrival of MP at Saints doesn't seem as odd or as strange as it was made out to be initially!(putting aside of course the poor way in which Adkins was treated).

Tony Funnel short career for us but a series of so important goals in those last few promotion matches in 77/78! So similar to Billy Sharpe last year!
-
ooops thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten that it had already been declared on this site that Westham were as likely to be relegated as Manchester United! We had better catch up with them soon so that we also will be as likely to go down as Man U! (wonder when the bookies will catch on to the wisdom expressed on this site).

Successful Tackles per Game, We top the League

Our new pressing style will put an end to our top position! Not sure England are in the top 3 European league places for anyone to qualify in any event! -
http://www.eplindex.com/26117/southampton-3-manchester-city-1-match-stats-report.html Citys passing success was reduced from an average 77% to 63% by our pressing style! Also a detailed analysis on our style of play here (not as good or as accurate as the City report above!) http://www.eplindex.com/25393/southampton-team-observations-tactical-analysis-stats.html

Ya Ya will be travel sick and Kompany unfit!

Actually if you take away the 6 points we got off them they are 3 points better off than us against the rest. However you forget our terrible start and this is the reason why they are still in touch we have overtaken a significant points lead against most of the bottom teams gained against us over the first 10 games or so! If we are to continue our recent form we will pull away safely!

I see Forren is fit to play for Norway but not fit for our bench last saturday!
-
Clyne and Gaston are also out as they have withdrawn from their national squads which usually means they are not allowed to play! although not sure if this applies when the Internationals are friendlies.

Watching that team gave me some of my best ever Saints memories! (was at Uni and never missed a match, Chose Southampton Uni over a number of others to be near Saints!)
