In Prague, back in 2003, I bought a set of Saints FC Russian dolls featuring Beattie, Ormerod, Niemi, Fernandes and Svensson. Nowadays my 4 year old daughter loves playing with them even if she's not got a clue who they are...
Jeez! This means the Daily Mail were actually on the ball with this one then? Looking forward to seeing this completed tomorrow, hopefully, and then moving on to the next target... I wonder who that will be?
My missus works in this area and she says the work permit should be a formality because he's already demonstrated the relevant credentials to be employed in the UK already.
All gone very quiet on this one today. Nicky working his magic or dying a slow death, I wonder? Be interesting if he turns out for Celtic tomorrow night.
Looking at Neil Lennon's comments, I wonder whether we'll here some positive news before Tuesday before Celtic next play again? Hopefully the Everton link is just a red herring.

At the end of this article on Beram Kayal, Lennon says "it's too big a deal not to go through". Seems to sum up Celtic's position throughout this drawn out saga. If he's going, it's to the club paying the most to them!
I thought it could be one of two things. 1) he's reasonably confident of getting at least one of those players or why mention them? Failure to do so and to then recruit lesser alternatives just makes you look like you've failed to attract your main targets or 2) he's seen all the links and has 'joined the conversation' in order to keep our real targets under wraps.
