If there truly is a meeting with the player, surely (a) the player is at the very least slightly interested or why bother with the meeting and (b)hopefully he'd have an awareness of what's on offer before flying in from Brazil?

Not a massive fan of the new shirt, if indeed that is the new shirt. If another primarily all red shirt and maybe shorts is correct, it would nice to know why we've moved away from our more traditional stripes. Cardiff made a more drastic change but at least they explained why! Also, weren't there rumours of a new signing perhaps showing off the new kit, I wonder if this is true although technically Lovren is a new signing and could be used for this function...

So, now we not even speaking to the player because we knew ages ago what he wanted to join us? Then why did we suddenly agree a figure with Celtic??? Each passing revelation leaves us even further away from this being completed, according to the media. Apart from the hint Crab Lungs gave us, there's not been much on this from our usual ITK-ers too. Wouldn't bet against the arrival of a leftfield alternative arrival.

I'm not surprised he's being careful. I'm sure Nathaniel Clyne got his knuckles rapped when he changed his profile on Twitter to say he was a Southampton player before the official announcement was made.

I would imagine Alan Nixon would have some great Scottish contacts and he seems pretty confident this will all go smoothly. All sounds good to me but would hope we get it done sooner than later to avoid last minute interest from elsewhere.
