  1. I'd give it to Victoria Pendleton.
  2. For the right price, I'm sure his interpreter could make sure his interview didn't go as well as MoPo thought it did...
  3. http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/23/multi-tasking-defender-takes-out-two-strikers-at-the-same-time-video-4198646/ Clearly no suggestion we're linked with him but if this fella can deal with 2 strikers at once, it would free up an extra place up front...!
  4. I'd say Wanyama, JWP and Schneiderlin give a much better midfield base than Lampard, Wilshere and Milner that's for sure.
  5. When was the last time Rickie was out for a bit through injury (not suggesting he will be now but just can't really recall the last time)? It would be a shame if he is out for a bit but it also makes me think of how far we've come in that a couple of years ago this would have really derailed us but I feel, even though we are in the Prem, it is now something we can cope with.
  6. He's a bit good isn't he? If he stays, could achieve Le God like status with more performances like today.
  7. Brilliant stuff. Magnificent in the first half and comfortable in the 2nd following initial complacency. Lallana out of this world ably supported by the rest of the group. So proud the team I support is now 3rd in the Prem after all of our travails. Marvellous.
  8. Thought he did well when he came on. Looked more mobile than before his injury and gave us some impetus when we needed it. That is all.
  9. Stunning stuff and well deserved too. Shame about Clyne but good to know he is on Roy's radar and I'm sure his chance will come eventually.
  10. I feel Clyne should be closer to a call up based on performances for Saints but if you look at it in the context of the England squad then, rightly or wrongly, Hodgson would say our cover at right back is much stronger with Walker, Johnson, Smalling & Jones around the squad. On the left, there's only Cole & Baines with Shaw probably next in line.
  11. England - Steve Moran Scotland - Joe Jordan Northern Ireland - Colin Clarke Wales - Barry Horne Ireland - Jeff Kenna
  12. Yep, been on a stadium tour with Herbie and he was so knowledgeable - it was a real experience. I presume he too will be replaced by an attractive young lady in a short, tight skirt who will also try to sell you a programme?
  13. Jamie Redknapp was saying as much on Sky too. Shaw and Jay Rod too even.
  14. We are a bit good y'know...
  15. A quick poser for a Monday morning. The Great God of Football has given you an ultimatum: only one result will come in - an England win vs Poland tomorrow night which seals World Cup qualification or a Southampton win at Old Trafford which maintains our great recent progress? Which do you pick? Not looking for a reasoned debate on which truly is the most important - just a light-hearted voting scenario!
  16. What about using I can't get no satisfaction, another Stones classic which might appeal to our Stones loving striker? You ain't got no, Dani Osvaldo, You ain't got no, Dani Osvaldo, And he'll score & he'll score & he'll score & he'll score, Osvaldo, Dani Osvaldo!
  17. Can a long ball be a long pass along the ground? Seen Morgan do (& Big Vic try!) that those a number of times to release Osvaldo or Lallana.
  18. Didn't he nearly sign for us when he left Celtic?
  19. S'alright, I suppose.
  20. If thats the deal, some may consider it worth it...
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23811929 Paul Canoville, 11 children by 10 women! Now that's scoring prowess! An interesting 'stat' amongst the tale of hideous abuse he was subjected to during the 80s in addition to the other major issues he's encountered throughout his life. Puts Dani's child producing abilities in the shade...
  22. http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/espnfcunited/id/6474?cc=5739 3 children by 2 mothers according to this...
  23. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/10699552.Kevin_Phillips__I_shouldn_t_have_celebrated_my_winner_at_St_Mary_s/?ref=mr Kevin Phillips trying to make amends again. Will probably be his last game at SMS and I, for one, always appreciated his effort whilst here. Should we let bygones be bygones and give him a warm send off? If we can do it for Michael Owen surely we can do it for someone who played for us?
