Saw a couple of their games when Wilkins was in charge and Glenn Murray looked a very good striker.

Well respected at the Albion, according to my Seagull mates. Apparently took them to 7th, with no real funds, and was rewarded, at the end of the season, with "would you like to return to being a coach while we bring Micky Adams back?". Funnily enough, said "no".

Is this fingers crossed hope or I'm expecting some news of a signing/signings some time in the very immediate future hope?!!

Still no news then? Given his display vs Hearts, I thought we'd be signing him up like a shot!

To me, on the "who's sitting next to Pardew" thread, the fella looks a bit like Jermaine Beckford. So that's him 100% definitely signing for us tomorrow.

What I find interesting (& frustrating in equal measure) is the lack of news 'leaks'. Under previous regimes, there were always ITK posters on the board who correctly released information prior to it's official release. Now, apart from comments from Pilchards', there don't seem to be many rumours coming forth. For instance, we didn't know Harding was going to sign until it was a done deal. This makes me believe either nothing much is happening (surely unlikely given the lack of staff or experienced players) or cards are being played very close to the chest (some may call it 'professionalism').

Decent appointment IMO. Did well at Reading and West Ham, even if it didn't work out at Charlton. I guess he'll keep Murty on as he surely worked with him at Reading?
