Crap first half so not going to bother about that, other than, obviously Archers finish. I was quite impressed with his all round play for most of the night. I was particularly pleased for Quarshie, who definitely grew into the game and likewise you could see his confidence grow. Must've nipped the ball off the forwards feet a good half dozen times in the last twenty. He actually looked very competent in the one on ones. When the game is this scrappy you can tell that someone like Fraser has prem league experience. Generally better first touch and knowing when to move the ball. Solid performance. Loved the cameo from Matsuki. Blimey, cant remember the last time I saw a saints player take it in the turn in the middle.of the pitch and lash it at goal. Loved that. Think people might be being a bit harsh on Downs. He couldn't do too much to influence the game but played a perfect thru ball to BBD and, well, we know the rest. Wood is a thug 😂😂. Anyway, good for morale and lovely to keep a clean sheet.

To be honest, I was clutching at straws. Best of a bad bunch really and I didn't knock Baz for not being off his line quick enough. You can blame Stephens for the header obviously but Quarshie should never have played that ball inside to him. I played semi pro as a CB and that goes out or down the line every time. And my Baz comment still stands. Even that Chaplin chance at the end, if he scores that's Bazs fault for not dominating his box. Easily. And there were about half a dozen crosses that a more dominant keeper would have come and punched to relieve his defence. I genuinely don't think my comment was laughable and I hope that explains why I said it. .

Wasn't great but obviously take that. Both squads aren't settled yet and Still still hasn't got the squad that he needs to implement his style of playing. Stephens MoM for us ? Hard to pick one. I really wish Baz would come for some of those deep crosses, his lack of doing so makes our defending more nervy than it needs to be. Willing to give Quarshie a bit of a pass as still getting used to a new league but his decision making......wow. Passing also a bit dodge but as I say neither team has started to hit there stride yet. Tough away game so happy with a point.

Ahh but this is the thing isn't it. At this time Zidane and Ronnie were at the height of their powers. You remember the YouTube vid Zidane vs Ronaldinho? It was a beautiful watch, but at that time Zidane just does it more for me. Ronnie was a great entertainer and had some outrageous moments but Zidane for me was pure grace and elegance on a pitch and also that ridiculously strong French team that won everything always seemed to struggle when he wasn't playing. Anyway, horses for courses but that's why zizou gets the nod over Ronnie for me.

If it were a team with balance I'd have Roy Keane at the base of the midfield. Other certs for me Schmeichel Messi Zidane Maldini CR9 Maradona. The others could be a turkey shoot and how you put them all together is beyond me.
