Not expecting much transfer action this month despite the takeover. We may have an interest in a GK and a no10 but the january window is always a difficult one - clubs reluctant to let players leave without a suitable replacement and all these moving parts often dont get resolved within a month. Should be an interesting summer though

🤔 The definition of impressive must have changed in the oxford dictionary
-
If hes simply willing to spend his money then its a huge upgrade
-
Will mean very little if by the end of the window hes playing beside Lascelles or Clark or Schar. They desperately need a decent CB, CM and striker. Still fully expect them to get out of trouble with the riches available. Sky the other week would've had you believe they were 15 points adrift and it would be the greatest escape ever fs. They're one win from safety and play Watford at home next
-
I know we will have had a good rest ahead of this but no point risking needless injuries ahead of the Brentford and Wolves games. Covid depending, this side should have more than enough to get through. Redmond always seems to set world alight against Championship teams. McCarthy Valery Lyanco Stephens KWP Tella Diallo Smallbone Redmond Long Armstrong

Players weighing in on the argument now lol. Hope we smash them when the fixture comes around
-
10 million rising to 16 million for a young, inexperienced RB who cant get into Rangers starting 11. Are Everton not meant to be struggling financially? Ross Wilson must be laughing. Our business for Livramento looks unreal compared to that
-
All the son's Son (Diving) Maddison (Diving, yappy and shit hairdoo) Henderson/Robertson (both yappy/fake hard men) Lallana (obvious) Vardy (the Van Dijk tackle which cost us the league cup ultimately and the fact hes a dirty, yappy c***)

Used to be Liverpool and Spurs based on the players/managers we've sent them over the years. But Brighton and Newcastle are both coming fast up the rails. So many unlikeable players for Brighton - Maupay (especially after his celebration recently), Nivea boy, Duffy, Dunk to name a few. Newcastle for the recent arrogance of their fans - hope it all ends in tears. Leicester another honourable mention for having a team full of cants - Vardy, Maddison, Schmeichel, Soyuncu etc
-
They'll definitely want it on as Watford will have quite a few away to the AFCON. Hope it gets postponed to spite them toon wankers given their celebrations over our postponement.
-
You just know that with expectations high and our fans eagerness to get this game on due to our recent good form, great PL record against Newcastle at home and Newcastles depleted team with injuries/covid.....that we'll contrive to draw, or worse still lose the game. Its the saints way. The memories of failing to beat the 9 men still looms large
-
We definitely want this on. Salisu and KWP will be missed, but if we were offered that in exchange for Wilson and ASM both being ruled out then we would take it all day. Would bring Stephens in for Salisu as hes used to playing alongside Bednarek (not sure Lyanco and Bednarek have played together as a two) and hopefully TIno is fit (with Perraud at LB)

A great battling performance. The team has shown in the last two games a level of resilience we havent seen for a long, long while. To hang on with 10 men for 55 mins against an in form Spurs team and to get a winner against WHU after twice losing the lead is impressive. Said it a few games ago that we would struggle if our midfield/defence didnt start chipping in with some goals (like they did last year), and they've delivered. Thats three from JWP, and one each from Ely and Bednarek. JWP has been excellent with his goals/assists of late. Leading by example, yet some have demanded that he be stripped of captaincy. Laughable
-
Not the sort of games you want to be missing your two best players. Not to mention the luck of the draw with covid at the moment could leave them even more depleted. Howe didnt sound overly confident of having enough players for these games. Think Newcastle might just scrape safety. Norwich and Watford will likely go and can see Brentford being dragged back in, they've looked very poor recently
-
Lets be honest he was pretty poor before his loan spell away and showed very little upon his return in pre season. But he has definitely improved and is a good squad player - way ahead of Walcott and Djenepo as you say, but thats more of a reflection on how bad they both are. Hope Moi keeps on improving
-
And the assist for the winner. Superb ball in
-
The fact that they started Ndidi at CB ahead of Vestergaard shows the lack of faith they have in him. Only came on because Soyuncu got injured. Their forums will be a great read tonight
-
Im going for a solid P-P
-
As a CB you dont want to be exposed out there in the first place, especially not against Zaha. He likely would have shown his outside and he still would have scored. We were struggling after the loss of the ball in a dangerous position and a RB very high
-
How exactly? We gave it away in a dangerous position (Salisu/Romeu), Livramento was very high and Lyanco was left squared up against Zaha who was cutting inside. It was a quick turn and hit which you cant do much about at times. Probably wary about diving in and Zaha turning back inside
-
Get into a winning position and lose it again 😡 but then again after a dreadful start and the players missing its not a bad point away from home (another draw - nearly half our games have been draws). Positives - Broja and JWP with great goals. Thought Salisu and Lyanco grew into the game as it went on. Redmond looked good at times. Negatives - To finish the game with a front 4 of Walcott, Djenepo, Long and Redmond shows how desperate it is when we get a few injuries. That is Championship quality at best. Fed up with Djenepo. Twice in the last 10 minutes gets into a great position on the edge of the Palace box and either falls over the ball, miscontrols it or runs away from goal. Throw in his injury history and he is a waste of a squad player. Dont care how young he is.
-
Not that bizarre as I'm not sure they've far more quality than us. Outside of Phillips, Raphinha and Bamford they are very, very average. They're also suffering the second season syndrome for newly promoted clubs when their tactics/style of play is better understood by other teams
-
The pessimism on here must be down to the hangover from the late late Brighton equaliser. We have a decent record at the Emirates in recent years (should have easily won the last two) so no reason why we cant get a result. Yes we've a few missing but our squad has alot more depth this season and as tonight showed Arsenal can be very average at times. Another draw I reckon with Willy picking up a debut clean sheet
-
Time to rest Tino as his performances have tailed off the last few weeks. Not sure what the status with Bednarek is. Would start him ahead of Lyanco if fit. Lyanco/Stephens pairing could be awesome or a car crash, nothing in between. Would bring Willy straight in, purely for the experience. Willy KWP Stephens Lyanco Perraud Tella Diallo JWP Redmond Broja Adams
