Aaron Ramsey linked with Burnley or Rangers....should we not be all over that too 🤷🏼♂️. May be 31 but still a great player

Two days to go. We're not in any desperate need to make signings although we do have the remaining loan at our disposal. Minamino, Alli McAtee and Delap are some of those linked on loan - although we may get somebody else out of the blue. Hard to see any permanent signings - Broja, Anjorin and Carvalho have all linked but most likely will be the summer before we see any movement. Same for the various goalkeepers linked as we've plenty of cover in that position. Hope we get at least one new signing in to strengthen our starting 11

Agent at the training ground today it seems

That was the pinnacle of deadline day 😂, its been mostly tragic since then, especially in January. Them two chancers on SSN (Kaveh and Dharmesh) and their bullshit sources just making stories up. The expert pundits they rely on is scraping the barrel too
-
Lingard not going to Newcastle. Another rejection to add to their long list. Their billions not having the pull that the fans thought it would and other clubs pushing their asking prices up is pleasing to see. Might change in the summer if they stay up, but then again which top quality player would want to play under Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall 😂. They need a top manager before they can really push on

Would rather he get some playing experience in the football league than continually playing in the u23 league, but did expect him to be loaned out a bit higher than a struggling league two team.

Agree on both points. Wasnt too long ago that Stephens was getting talked up for his early season performances (and the passion shown) - a notable improvement on previous seasons. His injury coupled with Lyancos signing and the passion hes shown, and the plaudits Salisu has been receiving has made some fans forget about that. Less enthusiastic about McCarthy, but as a backup we could do much, much worse. If we're offering him a new deal (or have already done so) I hope its no more than 2 years

Hope Bruce comes in and keeps them up at the expense of the Saudis 😃
-
Given Ralphs knowledge of the Bundesliga, bit surprised we havent signed anyone (permanently) from that league. Barely been linked with anyone as well
-
We dont even need 13 points, no chance one of those bottom 3/4 teams are reaching 38 points (they would likely need 39 with their GD). 3 more wins and we're safe. We'll have that by early/mid March
-
Yeah because City would leave the oppositions three best players in the air free to run unopposed into the back post area. Did you watch the post match analysis? They literally spent 5 minutes laughing at the state of our set up for that free kick. I think Souness said it was embarassing defending for a PL team. The only downside on what was a great team performance
-
Blaming Forster, really? Sure its nothing to do with our stupidly high line where we go zonal marking and allow runners between the lines. It doesnt work as we have seen repeatedly this season. If it wasnt for Forsters save from Sterling we would have lost
-
Seems we're keen to add to our double barrel contingent, follows on from the links with Loftus Cheek and Maitland Niles in previous windows
-
9 with GD, over half their point total. Norwich wins over shocking Watford and Everton teams has not changed my mind that they're still utter shit. Still think its them, Watford and one other.....hopefully Newcastle
-
Zero points is all that matters when Brentford look at the table

Theres usually one of the promoted teams who start the season very well but as the season progresses they begin to get found out or their thin squad begins to get exposed. Apart from beating Villa over xmas they're on a pretty poor run. Could get dragged back into trouble if they're not careful. Hull quite a few seasons ago springs to mind
-
Hopefully we see more of this frustration before the window closes. A few Carillo type desperation signings at 23.00 on deadline day would be delightful
-
I know we're more financially secure and dont need to rely on it as much but we've got another loan to use up dont we? Although not from Chelsea obviously. We did pull the Minamino deal out of nowhere last January so wonder what we have up our sleeve - perhaps one of the City kids Delap or McAtee
-
Ballard and Olaigbe with more goals for the B team tonight in a 2-1 win against leaders Fulham. Both have been in very good form and Ballards only 16 I think. Olaigbe has been with the first team training too
-
Hes been out for four months and not due back until mid-February maybe later. Very good player but they really need some new blood in that lineup now
-
Signed. Dont like to see clubs potentially liqudated, especially based on the actions of previous owners. No such thing as the club being too big to go under. They've been punished enough as it is with the 21 points and transfer embargo. Its also good to see the job that Rooney is doing.

On another day we could have won the game with the chances we had, but also we didnt deserve anything with the sloppy defending and conceding three goals. Sorry but I think its a penalty all day, not sure why it took them so long. Really clumsy from Bednarek, tries to poke it away for a corner and ends up digging his toe into the pitch and clatters into the Wolves player. If we had been on the receiving end we would be screaming for a penalty. Bednarek has summed his saints career up in 7 days - own goal, goal, concedes a penalty. Just so inconsistent and cant seem to eradicate the errors from his game. He shoudnt be any better than our third choice CB and why we need a better partner for Salisu. The high free kick line has threatened to undo us before and it did today for Woves second. Although I dont know what Forster was thinking - was in no mans land. If he stays on his line he deals with it no bother. Chasing the game when we conceded the third, but Lyanco is too busy complaining about a hand to the face instead of getting back on Traore. Just play to the whistle fs. JWP take a bow. What a strike. He has been phenomenal the past two months. Madness when people were questioning whether he should be playing or not. With a bit more luck we could have snatched a point, although we probably used most of that luck up for the point we gained against Spurs. Onwards.

Hes out of contract next June so Marseille would be looking at offers now or in the summer. Cant see him going for less than 15m
-
15 million for a 25 year old with nearly 40 caps for a good international side in Poland and over 3 years left on his contract. No thanks. Couldnt even replace him with a championship CB for that money
