Tough economic times ahead for the masses

Interestingly, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, nor should it be the Govt's highest priority.... -
Tough economic times ahead for the masses
Weston Super Saint replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Lounge
So, those millions of people who borrowed money from the banks and defaulted on their loans / mortgages, and those who had no intention to pay in the first place, had no contribution to the collapse whatsoever? Sub-prime anyone? Not laying the blame solely at their doors, as I'm sure they were just taking advantage of loopholes in the system, but at the same time you can't exonerate them from any of the blame. -
Attention seeking ho.

Sponsorship and Corporate Hospitality
Weston Super Saint replied to Dave Benson Phillips's topic in The Saints
I think you're observing in the wrong area Stu I / my business was a pitch side advertiser last season. I received the renewal information many months before the photography ban was mentioned, but we decided not to renew as every penny needs to be accounted for at the moment, and there is no tangible way to measure the success - or otherwise - of pitch side advertising. Whilst it still remains a 'good idea' it's lack of measurability puts it on the back burner. Besides, I don't think it went up until about the sixth game last season, so I'm kind of hoping that they will leave it up for the rest of this season once the contract runs out, if there are lots of empty spaces -
Sponsorship and Corporate Hospitality

Lol. If the corporate boxes were full of men in suits eating a light buffet lunch, Stu would probably be the first one on here shouting about how to get rid of the corporates and prawn sarnie munchers, and how we should be striving to get football back to the masses. Sometimes it seems that this board is full of posters looking to blame the club rather than supporting it. I'm sure it'll only be a couple more posts before someone states that it is Beelzebub Cortese's fault for ruining our club. -
Especially since he's spent the last couple of months completing his forensic accounting exercise. Shouldn't take more than a few hours to do a couple of copies, whole punch them and put them in a ring binder. He has finished the forensic accounting hasn't he?
-
Have they approved him as a fit and proper person yet? Thought he was going through that formality BEFORE the court case....
-
I can see why you didn't get very good grades, and have achieved nothing since, if you honestly believe a High Court Judge can possibly attain such a position WITHOUT going to University - and studying something along the lines of LAW Still, I guess you're another advert for dumbing down Britain...

Not gonna happen Bunch of thieving barstewards selling fake goods! Found a Chinese supplier on 'Alibaba' who wants £35 for key and delivery, only problem they want payment by Paypal - an Ebay owned thieving company - so unless they are flexible on payment options, still gonna need another option.

I hope you're going somewhere very hot for your holidays, because you appear to be really pale in that picture. A good tan should sort you out though

Can't start a new thread, so adding to this one I'm looking for a spare 3 button remote key with blank key - for a citroen C4. I have a mechanic who can program the remote for me, and I guess most key cutters will cut the blank key to fit, but I've searched for hours on the innernetz and can't find one - well not strictly true, there are a few on fleabay, but I refuse to use that awful site so that is a no go... So, does anyone have any useful sites where I might be able to purchase such an item?

Oh, I see. So it's not good to pay for an advantage out of your own pocket - despite the fact that you pay taxes for local schools But, it's absolutely fine for the church to pay for advantages for your children
-
Let's hope she went to the local comprehensive school then, and had the same opportunities as everyone else in the country. What's that you say, a Grammar School! Shocking, shouldn't be allowed to have such an advantage!
-
So, what you're advocating is that everyone starts on an equal footing. Then, some people will move on at a faster pace than others - Human Nature, not Nurture - and will do well for themselves. They will then earn more money than some other people by applying their skills and education. Then they will have children of their own, who you would like to see start right at the bottom of the pile, just because otherwise it would be 'unfair'. So, what exactly is the point of 'social mobility' if it doesn't gain you any advantage?
-
I get what you're saying. People who have lots of money shouldn't be able to buy an education for their kids, and they should have to go to the same schools and receive the same education as everyone else. I just don't agree with what you're saying! The principle behind your argument isn't even a sound one. Just look at communist Russia - where you appear to be getting your principles from - and tell me that the rulers of the country and party officials sent their kids to the same schools as the prols. Did they fook!
-
Nope. Simple economics - you'd know that if you went to a decent school Private education pays better money, so attracts the better teachers, just like Chelsea and Manure pay better money and can attract better players. Therefore more money = better education. Why should we restrict the education opportunities for people who can afford it - we don't live in 1960s Russia do we? Why should everyone have 'equal opportunities' [to me that phrase is ridiculously out of context]? It's like saying everybody should have to drive a 1 litre Renault 5 whether they can afford a Bugati or a Porsche or whatever, just so the 'rich' people don't gain an advantage.

Lol. Still a LONG way to run. The article states he will buy the club in three weeks - why wait ANOTHER three weeks? He was going through the F&PPT BEFORE the last court case - pretty sure it doesn't take 6 weeks to pass or fail, after all they managed to pass the non-existent owner in a day!!! - he doesn't actually have to provide any money, just guarantee the £16m, and since that's coming from the parachute payments, that one's easy. So, why the delay? Is it because the transfer window will be closed then, and the man who has no interest in running a football club doesn't want to put any money into it, just take money out?
-
Why not just rename it to 'Pompey Saga'??
-
Has the man who doesn't want to own a football club, taken them over yet

As I said, before the comments were removed from one of the threads on the main board, there were a lot of comments copied and pasted from POL. There was one of them from a 'FMR' which was pretty much what you'd expect from the Blue Few. Perhaps a PM to Arizona would be best, as IIRC it was he who deleted the comments and locked the thread.....
-
Personally I suggest the mods ban you instantly so we hear no more from you. Before they were deleted from the main board - pretty sure the admin can still see them - the comments you made on POL are dispicable. If you weren't from Pompey I would suggest you hang your head in shame. Since you are from Pompey, I guess you won't have an understanding of the word shame.
-
Are you the same 'Football Manager [Pompey] Researcher' that posts on Pompey online?

Puts some perspective to the Chairman and his alleged unhappiness with our lack of promotion last season. Especially if the reports of a 'long illness' are true...... Also explains why our pre-season was where it was.

It comes as no surprise on a forum that is run by one of the biggest bell ends in the entire world.
