Is Gareth Bale the best ever British player?
LiberalCommunist replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
I'd go as far as to say, he's the best pro footballer Golfer. But that's where I draw the line. -
Yeah, certainly not hyped for it. Maybe I'll get sucked in towards the later stages, but the human right violations is a big turn off. Especially, as we have to endure kneeling, clapping, silence, tweeting, lecturing, all from these guys who are happy to go over there to make more money, more fame, more adulation. A bunch of hypocrites. Just shows that its all a bunch of virtue signalling and nothing else.

Getting excited about new recruits only to lose key players. That's what I'm expecting this summer............

Nice to see Italy standing up for human rights by boycotting the 2022 World Cup.

Far more healthy than 18mts ago. I'm okay with those figures.

'Biggest stupid thing' - Redknapp on joining Saints
LiberalCommunist replied to Wurzel's topic in The Saints
I never need to delve too deep into a 'Arry quote to make myself angry. This charlatan damaged so many clubs during his cash grab era. A couple of them nearly never recovered. Just because the dodgy geezer spent a couple weeks in the jungle, does not mean we all forgot what he did. Just to be clear, I think the guy is slime.- 48 replies

I'm not impressed with his recent attitude adjustment, but we could be in real danger of destabilising an already shaky defence if we sell Jan. With Jack seemingly leaving on a free (Personally think we should offer him a deal), and the very real possibility of losing Sally. (For me, he has already been tapped up. Something is in the pipeline) That would set us a very unenviable task of replacing all three. And we know just how difficult this position is to get right. So set aside your hurt feelings on this one, Bedders is staying unless we get a mental big Toon offer.(not happening)

It wasn't a penalty. ~MS does look a clumsy twat at times, and really needs to work on not steam rollering in when its not necessary. But Jesus is a little bitch on this one. Like he knows Mike Dean is waiting for the signal. Weak as piss. Pep would be raging for months had that gone against his precious team. But, we didn't lose because of that, or we couldn't prove we did after the capitulation towards the end. But I stlll loved the work effort, the running, the energy, the spirit. The fact that they needed a dodge pen to edge in-front, and were caught on tele in front of 6M people time wasting, well credit to us for that. They are good, but they are not as good as they think they are........

It's so painful watching AA go through this confidence crisis. Shank, slice, shin. He gets more desperate as the opportunies depart. It's easy to say, but he just needs to relax, stop snatching at every chance like its his last one ever. Really hope he gets a chance along side someone other than Shane, and manages to score a goal soon. There's a player in there, but the pressure is mounting.

Applied ourselves well. Until Mike gave that soft as shit pen. Watching them time-waste was funny, there's a respect they don't show many teams! Season officially over. Flipflop time!

Shane Long to lure their keeper into an early red card and we win two nil. On to the semi's

Never been less enthusiastic for a quarter final. Shit form. Man City. Mike Dean. The perfect storm.

If we really owe fringe players for our progress to the QF's, then give them the next nine league games. But don't end our season on Sunday with any what might have beens. That would be unforgiveable, even to a Ralphtologist.

I can only assume that Everton thought they were owed a favour, because that was a stupid appeal to lodge. Then, a second appeal to downgrade the ban for excessive punishment was rejected. Everton received an apology from referees' chief Mike Riley this season after they were denied a penalty during a 1-0 defeat by Manchester City last month. Mike added today; 'They can fuck right off if they think we'll be levelling this shit out.......' 😄

It might have been Pickford! So distraught about being dropped, he chains himself to the goalpost!

That two year deal they gave to Bertrand looks like a terrible bit of business right now. They may well be paying that off without him playing another minute of football for them. A pretty sad end in the cold light of day, but glad we didn't hand out another sentiment driven contract.

If Everton lose tonight, I can see them sacking Frank. Literally one hour after game.

Rom yellow bingo. I'm going for the 7th minute........

Any lingering hope has gone now. Mike Fucking Dean. (Please covid, one last thing before you disappear)

Human rights should step in if anyone tries separating Son & Kane. That would be like fostering off one of your twins. Cruel.

Just finished my match report write up. I apologies in advance, its a lengthy one. Mistake, mistake mistake, Watford Goal. Mistake, mistake, Watford goal. ...................then the stream went down. What a shit game that was. I've never seen such a lack of urgency, energy, competence, as that first half. My only hope is, Watford use that three points to stitch up the Dug-outs. That is the only thing I can take from yesterday.

well, I'm ready for our season finale next weekend, then we can well and truly put our feet up as we limp to 40 point total and another 14th place. Can't really complain after such a bad start to the season accumilating so many draws that we posted one of our longest top flight home unbeaten sequences. What a weird ass season. Glad F1 is just around the corner, I can start moaning about that instead!

What has got into Salisu's head? Like a different player has come back after that weird injury. Hmmmmm

This next comment may well trigger people, but I'm going to say it anyway. We need to be patient today. Keep calm.

Watford look dead and buried. Another disappointing defeat for us.
