  1. Watching us in the tunnel. Horrid strip...but here we go...Stephens...Manning...Rothwell... Just 3 of our goalscorers tonight. 🙂
  2. It took Wright to mention we could win. Presenter:If they play well...only narrowly losing. Sod off. Nice Nicholl tribute though ITV.
  3. Who are they playing? #caughtupinKlopp
  4. Nice to get the reminder he is actually at the club. 🙂
  5. Oh heck. Hope he has a speedy recovery. Article I read linking it to other players getting injuries returning from Nigeria's AFCON camp.
  6. Porcupine
  7. Surely there has to be a way of using gravy lumps to fill the potholes effectively? What is science for, if not for this!? 🙂
  8. I/We made the team... Stay calm...look composed...epitomise that cool poster style... Squuuueeeeeee! 🙂
  9. Lovely to see so much of society reflected in their option of representative. It's sad that your local self-important, crooked, deviant doesn't even try to hide it, prior to being elected anymore.
  10. The hospital gets commission after telling patients how long the waiting list is, and, handily, the foreign location of a private clinic. 🙂
  11. Gio's mistake, in getting replies, here was... "You open it and instead of cider a red white and black suited genie emerges - and not only that but its got a passing resemblance to Kevin Keegan..." I can't be the only one to have realised that having a mini-Keegan in a bottle would be a dream come true. That's been taking up most of my thoughts on the topic. Presumably, you get the 3 wishes. 1) Change the suit to a Saints Ajaxy kit, mini-Keegan 2) Change the scrumpy bottle to a decent sized, clear jar. 2) Create a mini Nigel Adkins in a bottle just like yours, genie-Keegan. 3 wishes, well spent. Above: Putting the team together on the tactics table. Look at the short distances between them! Perfect for short passing, high tempo possession football! To actually answer the question, Saints Lover Faintheart - Fine in early supporting years (Lawrie years), but nosebleeds at the high Premier League positions (however brief they were) in more recent years. It's the hope that gets you. Fool - Could have supported any "big" club. Just imagine you were them... 🙂 Cynic - A perfectly natural outlook, to prevent getting your hopes up. Ever. Takes the edge off the inevitable disappointment. But your club chooses you, and you love it through thick and thin...and thinner.
  12. I kind of remember him saying that he was pound for pound the best, in various stats cross referenced with his available budget. Front footedness, aggression, pressing rather than the level it was at, or success at winning things. So, depending on Charlton's budget, it may be only a matter of time before his ego takes over his mouth at another interview. 🙂
  13. Poor guy struggling with an injury littered squad, for a club running up against the profit and sustainability rules put in by the big boys. It's a heart breaking tale.
  14. I shall try to get over my guilt at us beating the most deservingest team, and depriving their departing bestest manager the chance of a sweep of trophies.
  15. 4-3 to Newcastle.
  16. 2-2...
  17. Pens between Newcastle and Blackburn Blackburn miss their first one and Newcastle score.
  18. When I looked at some of their forums, a lot seemed only too happy to focus on his times at Luton. Who he did really well with. So, if they are willing to buy into his methods and he has a group he's not out of his depth with, they've every chance. Reading have just been docked another 2 points. Good for Jones, if not Selles.
  19. Last time I looked, St Mirren had financial issues. In a league where we've got in a lot of players. Close to Glasgow and their teams. Doing quite well at the minute, without SRs "help" at the minute.
  20. Roundabout
  21. I'll be upset if it turned out Martin shook hands with their players, after doing that, and threatening our promotion Ch...sorry...other thread?...meltdowns?...what? 🙂 Rubbish news, as Fraser has made all the difference from his impact sub appearances to now.
  22. The dystopian setting and unflinching, rawness of it's brutality cast and scenes, allows a remove through which the themes of power, corruption, loyalty and lust become even more informing. Helen Mirren, in her pre-sponsorship Ajax-themed kit, begins in an unassuming left midfield role. Yet, denied a transfer to the club she loves, becomes the centre of the finale, getting the winning goal. Sadly her success takes her from both the brutality of the club she was with, but also beyond the transfer budget of her beloved club. A pyrrhic victory of love, revenge and control Hang on, how did The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover go again?
