  1. Indeed. Another perfect example of the CoT's calm work, against the frenzy of people desperate to be seen as first to break the news.
  2. Yeah, that's what you say every time you post the same information, but need to be seen as first. So precious. Thanks for confirming that you weren't the first to confirm it was Will Still. No comment on "If what you saying is that the first post in some way has distorted things after the event, then why is it something you do, and get caught at, so frequently?" Don't worry about going to a League 2 forum for posters past their prime. You can look back at all the good posts...well, perhaps not...but look back at your many years here, and know that your new home will treat you in exactly the way you deserve.
  3. Thanks for confirming that you weren't the first to confirm it was Will Still. If what you saying is that the first post in some way has distorted things after the event, then why is it something you do, and get caught at, so frequently? Thanks also, for confirming how precious you are every time you are scooped to news, and once again trotting out the "but my source is different/added" excuse. It's funny seeing someone that age be so desperate.
  4. Thanks for that. Ahead of Matthew, who just isn't as quick as he used to be (rumours of a loan deal to a L2 forum) But both, obviously, just confirming what we already knew πŸ™‚
  5. A little early, but our annually linked Brandon Williams is available after getting a suspended prison sentence. Since he can play left back, no doubt he's somewhere on SR's radar. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cly36z3lep5o
  6. SR finally hiring a manager who has been at the levels they want o reach, has done good things with multiple clubs, and who hopefully challenges and drives those above him. Could be SR are learning. While not prolific, it looks like you're getting in some veteran experience in Courtet. Someone with a long career at the step above. Nothing fancy, but a foundation stone for the campaign. Hopefully setting an example. Hopefully with more impact than Lallana had for us.
  7. Not surprised, and really pleased for him. He's well away from United. He's such a good player in lots of roles. Hopefully Napoli get him at his prime.
  8. Another thing to make Man Utd's fall even funnier, was them moving on McTominay. A player who'd be the first name on my team sheet.
  9. Yeah, if it's anything like our last Championship season, I'll not pay it any attention, and not miss it either.
  10. Welcome to the club, Jordan Henderson.
  11. They managed to pick up PL wages this season, so pretty strong. πŸ™‚
  12. It just gets worse and worse. Without our key players and 5 at the back, we might end up forced into a system that suits us with players hungrier to do well. Disaster!
  13. Looks like I picked the wrong week to catch up on some forum threads. SOG has deteriorated badly, and he held appalling views before.
  14. Both 'keepers stats were poor, but at least Baz offered a lot to RussBall, so I'd pick him. Although KWP is better at RB, I'd keep Gray, and put KWP at LB. Bedders would get in. Ampadu over THB, but not massively so. You could switch Ampadu for Gruev and have THB in defence. I'd take Downes over Kamara, Stu over Rutter and Adams over Piroe. Probably AA over James really, as overall AA offered more to the team in the Championship. Struijk and Gnonto would be close, and Leeds had Spence on loan for a bit too. But that's Baz, KWP, Bedders, Downes, Stu, Adams and AA.
  15. still willing to think that will still still will be in talks.
  16. "Interim manager Simon Rusk has confirmed Southampton will be without a number of key players when Arsenal visit St Mary's for the final game of the season on Sunday." Oh no! Not our key players! Wherever would we be this season without them?! πŸ™‚
  17. Neither BBD or Archer met Martin's requirements. While all of the backroom rebuilding and refocusing is fine, it means nothing if the decision makers are not engaging with a manager who has the strength of character to drive them. SR have wasted many millions on a number of flawed ideas, that have turned us from a Premier League club needing support, to a Championship club needing an overhaul.
  18. Both BBD and Archer had the stamp of a club seeing it's top targets not want to arrive, and desperately going down the list shortly before the deadline.
  19. It's a managers peogative to move on players who don't fit our style. However, it's SR's responsibility to know what their plan is, and not lurch from one to the next. Charlie and Perraud were both binned off by Martin (smugly, in Perraud's case, which I didn't like at the time). Both attacking and direct. Both more suited in the squad to come than several others. If SR developed some consistency, the players having to move on because of the system, would be fewer. That would leave them with things like the quality of recruitment to focus on.
  20. Thanks for all the match updates!
  21. Agreed. With Suarez, he's likely to use his usual "I was aiming for the crisps" as he takes a bite out of you.
  22. I'm just sitting, eating a sandwich! I did nuffink! πŸ™‚
  23. couldn't rightly say. πŸ™‚
  24. Richarlison was the best on the park, wanted it the most, and led by example. When he went off, and Spurs started defending their third, I thought Maguire would get something. An excellent save, a couple of decent ones,ma clearance off the line were needed. Then the pedigree that only an ex Saint can bring, as Danso shored things up. Not much sympathy for Man Utd. Their self inflicted ownership, top heavy structure and dreadful recruitment continues to be funny. They did reach a major final, so not all doom and gloom. 2nd Season trophy specialist Postecoglou can ride off into the sunset, with another victory.
  25. Luke Shaw gets the goal for Saints! Well, Spurs really...
