  1. Aribo! Key tackle there. Well done. The player we have who can stop opponents, just through size. Adams seemed to go down easily there, when faced with a chance of shooting. Replay shows, he fell over when the defender's arms went around him.
  2. Let's see if we can keep the ball for a few minutes.
  3. Charles first booking... Stu gives it away centrally with one of their runners already ahead waiting for a pass. Charles second booking... Manning makes a poor decision to get the ball in results in a difficlut to control ball for Stu to make anything of. QPR break, and Charles takes a card. I hope Martin firmly shows this to the players responsible for Charles taking a suspension. Meanwhile... Adams with a tap back to their keeper, having got into a very good position. And a breakaway where we get a corner.
  4. Charles is off for that...
  5. Aribo is looking fitter (not in that way!). On the other flank now, getting us a corner.
  6. Stephens on for AA. Defensive.
  7. Adams has been making good movements He's had one effort fizzed across for AA, has tracked back, and supported others and his presence has changed QPRs shape to comensate for us having a more physicla central striker on. Might not be lots of goals. But then, we have a system that doesn;t focus the play on a single player getting lots of goals from those positions (not to say that finishing couldn;t be better with the ones presented).
  8. Uh oh. Given away again. It's been a few gmaes, where you'd think the possession game Martin has built will be just the thing. But a combination of subs, tiredness, and just some poor decisions puts us under needless pressure.
  9. Our possession failed there. No Smallbone or Downes has an impact. We just invite pressure when it breaks down like that. Adams puts it across for AA. AA just not on the end of it. That's the power of having a couple of strikers on the park at the same time.

  11. Rotherham not getting anything from Leicester then...
  12. Freser's direct run gives us a chance. But it's cut back to Charles. He gets it on target. But that's where you'd want Adams to be. Another effort, but straight to the keeper from Stu. Still, getting some chances.
  13. Adams gets a yellow just to prove he was at the game.
  14. Another loose pass though getting it out. We do give it away cheaply at times. Free Kick.....
  15. Charles gets another yellow for his collection.
  16. Stu waiting,... and waiting... and waiting for that cut back... and when it arrives it's too hard. KWP looking focused and excellent at dribbling. But there have been a couple of better options. QPR quick to get it right up the park. They know we take risks there, so are just waiting for one of them to pay off. Outr own break, doesn;t really get going and stright to their keeper. That's one are where we could be better. We focus so much in passing our way through teams, that sometimes our passing when there's clear space lets us down. Baz makes a save. Not on his danger side.
  17. Exciting stuff this! From their excellent switch of play as we pinned them right on their bye line to us linking up, super KWP dribbling.
  18. That was a quickly taken freekick. Offisde, so didn;t catch up out. Hopefully, we'll be a bit more focused with Adams there to receive and link up with the others.
  19. Goal machine Adams on from Smallbone. Downeds off for Charles. Fraser on for Edozie Interesting, as that weakens our midfield.
  20. Mostly QPR here. Stu has shown some real awareness in trying to swtich quickly to an attack. But we've not been able to get out. They get to use that space, even when we're a bit further back, at full back to get a ball across. We set up to expect that out ball from them thankfully. Always looks worse than it turns out to be. AA and Stu agian linking up well at the other end. We're looking to pounce on any space we get there.
  21. First half highlights were...short. Noticeable that when we've lost the ball, while building up an attack, we've got enough structure to have people back. Such a difference to earlier in the season COYR for the second 45...plus... added time... plus added time to the added time... 🙂
  22. Nice to tune in, just in time for a goal. Aribo closing things down, taking a yellow just as the ref blows for half time.
  23. I look forward to wearing my replica hazmat suit, following my new Champions team, as dictated by my survival bunker overlords. The important thing is to watch them secure another Champions League final victory! Praise be to FIFA! 🙂

  25. I thought it was a champions League/ other Euro competition replacement too. UEFA changing the format of the Champions League a response to this, not least due to some clubs wanting it to be even more fixed/ always spending beyond their means. The nonsense new league format for it going some way towards a super League type format. FIFAs timing of the expanded club championship not a coincidence. It's also multi purpose cash grab (can't have clubs getting lucrative pre season tours), undermining of UEFA and closing off about the only remaining fixture gap, before anyone else gets there. With a number of clubs already having said no, and after they made such a mess of it first time round, no guarantee it will happen. But a definite bargaining chip for the clubs. Only a LIV golf funding model away from happening too. There's some more pressure to drop the league cup. The Premier league is very lucrative. I'd have thought there would be a lot of resistance to that changing. I think I read that Man City played 61 games in a recent season. The new champions League format and this FIFA competition taking the place of some pre season matches, may well be about the same/ a few more if the League cup goes.
