Get well soon Minsk. You're in our thoughts. And I should stress that those thoughts relate to your health and not to the 2 pages of knife crime comments I've just read. 😊

True. He got a little more space as we fell back. But he didn't do much with it. He's still young, so regular Swansea appearances might help his game. It was probably a good call all round for him to move on, especially as we got some pennies.

Commentary team mentioned a couple of times that it was just as well for him that we went down to 10, as Obafemi wasn't doing his defensive job when we had 11.

Are angels socially distancing? They'd be doing this in their angelic capacity, so it would be work.

Thanks for the heads up Monk.

Other than clear definitions regarding angels, pins, dancing and posting counts, this looks like it's pretty straightforward.

Yeah, I was cheering Cambridge on, when I turned into the 2nd half. The more players avoid the sportswashing monsters, the less strengthening they can do before they play us. Although, there's always the chance that influx of mercenaries would actually make them worse.

I read the Hackers book last year, and it's going to be fascinating seeing more of his approach impact us. How this interacted with Ralph's playbook will be interesting as well, and hopefully both can develop well together. Although Ankersen might only be here, so he can get his mitts on our Black Box. 😊

I think Potter was considered to be better than results for similar reasons to Palace that you mention. Certainly from his employers, who apparently could see where the improvements were needed. Fixing them might take a bit longer. xG from a penalty is 0.76. Handily someone telly said it a few days back, but as long as I never say that, it'll be like I knew all along. 😊 Not even a top striker, playing for one of the biggest teams. Just someone who can make a difference at the level below. Although presumably, they are also looking for a bargain to sell on later too. Arguably, all these strikers are towards the top so you often get exactly the sort of level of player you already have.

I'd read that Brighton's xG meant that they were getting into the right positions, but just couldn't convert. So, by that logic, if they had a better finisher (who could also get into the same positions), they'd be a lot higher. I'd like to think someone then did the same analysis for all the other clubs. As you say, give any club a better finisher, and oddly they'd do better. But I just read it about Brighton in isolation. So, I think it's trotted out a bit lazily about Brighton, now. Perhaps the gap was larger for Brighton than the others. Anyway, can't stop to chat. I'm finishing my "If Shane Long could finish, Saints would have won the Champions League" article for the Athletic.

I don't hate any other club, but am more than happy to see Newcastle and Liverpool lose.

I'd just like to take a moment to remember the poster on the Newcastle forum, who said this about Ashley, only to find the new owners took him up on his post.

Newcastle FC would like to strongly deny that two birds were killed. No two birds were even near the club that day, despite the video evidence. No two birds chatted on the phone to any Prince during their visit to the club, which didn't happen. It's been at least a few years since our last stoning. I'd like to think Saints wouldn't have manipulated the system in this way to get the game called off. I'd like to think we're better than that.

If he thumped it over the stand, a replacement ball would be provided quickly. By putting it just out, more time is taken retrieving the ball that's just gone out of play, and then getting it to the opponent player. It's a tactic that combines Ralph cunning, with the precision kicking we've come to expect from Saints goalkeepers. Or he might have sliced them...

Danny Murphy decides to mix it up for the next Match of the Day.... Over on BBC2, Donald Pleasence saves Haddenfield, in Halloween 2021, only to find he's killed someone in a Covid mask.
