  1. I hope Starmer hasn't got all his boat detection aimed at the channel. 🙂
  2. I was just about to post "self depreciating humour" and "comedy generally." I must have been at the edge of another sog/nic crater. My comedy gold is collateral damage once more >sniff<
  3. I didn't even notice my hall had an airlock, until the AI at the end of the phone threw me out of it. 🙂
  4. That's a very sneaky way of telling us you're related to SOG. 🙂
  5. As soon as the F.A.B. were announced, I knew it was only a matter of time before we'd see shirts pulled by invisible strings. 🙂
  6. Rethinking this one, as Lighthouse removed one of my posts in this thread. Oh, the ironing! Cricket Fair Play Education Multiculturalism
  7. Community spirit Lovely scenery Freedom of speech NHS
  8. SOG seems pretty obsessed with it. What if one day, he started believing in what they were saying? No, they should have to follow the same rules as everyone else. #saveSOG I guess the article feels OffCom aren't enforcing it. The rest is politics was saying this too, as someone else posted the episode the other day.
  9. Ale and still some nice pubs to enjoy it in.
  10. Alberta now looking at Canada's slide into allowing non terminally ill people access to assisted dying. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8d5d54glreo 'The legislation also garnered support from Mara Grunau, chief executive of the Canadian Mental Health Association's Alberta division, who said in a statement that "Recovery from mental illness and suicidality is possible, expected even".' An indicator of how far they'd strayed for terminal illness. The counter that not allowing mentally ill people to get themselves killed, as it infringes on their freedom of choice, not only baffles me, but makes me wonder at the motivations of those with that view. "additional barriers for individuals who are suffering and who wish to exercise choice".
  11. You don't want to see you hit your own bar 7 minutes into added time. Or Peretz having to make a smart save 30 seconds later. But the plan was to hold onto the lead. And we got the job done against the league's in form (if injury ravaged) side. We were obviously hoping for the odd counter. We had a good chance early on with Larin. But that was about it. It was more of a relief just to get it into the final third, after a while, never mind create anything. Larin didn't really hold anything up, and isn't the most mobile in that tactic. Azaz worked hard, but we dropped back a little more when Downes went off. We worked hard in an organised defence. Even so, Peretz did very well with a couple of saves. Job done and into that play off spot. Something that looked a ridiculous dream earlier in the season. Credit to Tonda and the players for turning it round.
  12. Hopefully, between Bragg and Charles, we'll still have enough fight in that midfield.
  13. Oh dear. Stacey off with an injury. What a shame.
  14. That seems to have pushed us up a bit. They've got 4 on bookings, that we could put pressure on. Jander blazes over.
  15. We're pushing our luckna bit, trying to absorb this. We've only had Larin's effort, after good work from Downes and Azaz, at the start of the half.
  16. It's only 1 goal. But getting the job done, despite plenty of rubbish challenges from the visitors. Stacey must be getting close to a red. They created a really good chance, but couldn't get a header to it. But we've had an offside and have got past them (only to get fouled) Larin making a difference again, just with his presence. Azaz and Downes doing well around him. Edozie in particular getting past them. Just needs to keep that energy up, to get more joy second half.
  17. Right up until you explained it. Post and edamed I say.
  18. When they have competent people in the decision making structure. Not only to call it out when they see it. But also not to have been perpetuating it themselves, to their own bosses. But also, there's a thread to the likes of Russ that sprinkles magic words. "I can deliver a style of play that is better than the sum of it's parts. As a result it is much cheaper in every area, will enable longevity as we bring in replacements, and give a profit in transfers." Rangers also got an extra line saying that such systems would make them more competitive in Europe, as it was modelled on Pep more than what St Mirren might be doing. Gold dust in the air with these presentations. As SR know only too well.
  19. Senegal looking to take it further, mentioning "suspected corruption" in CAF. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwygyq495j8o
  20. My main reaction is one of relief. Definitely not joy or thinking poorly of anyone who has genuine reasons to be on the other side. But it's important and fair on both sides to not have things rushed, suggestions of people and information excluded and railroading of those looking for amendments. And on amendments, that is not only to allow genuine changes to be thought through (the article states the number here was not "too much" as Brand had said, or unprecedented) but to take a dim view of deliberately sabotaging things to reach a desired outcome.
  21. The more attacking, and open Norwich are, the more it should suit us. It's the more defensive...sorry...low block...teams that are a pain to break down. A win for us.
  22. Watch for the manager handshake tonight. Tonda: I'm so lucky that the players started doing everything! Clement: I know! I pinch myself at my good fortune at fluking success.
