Thats a completely valid post. What I would say is unlike the other 8 teams you referenced, we are bottom of the table despite going on our best run in a long time, have a huge weight of history against us (teams escaping when being bottom) and I would say squad wise we are probably second worst. Other than that though everything looks wonderful 😄

He was excellent Saturday I thought. On the FK's I think the ones at United were on the right side of the box (keepers left) From memory his goals on that side are much lower. The one on Saturday is what I would consider "ideal" for him.
-
The way I look at it is the performance against Brentford is a truer reflection of what this team is about, as opposed to the second half of the Spurs game. I must admit at 3-1 I was done. The previous game has killed any lingering hopes of survival. I want to be wrong, I would love to be wrong but I cant see any more than 8 points from our 10 games left.

Lavia was too high for my liking but I can see your POV too.

"This season we will be =AVERAGE"
-
Bitterly disappointing performance and result. Think we were lucky to escape 1, possibly 2 red cards too. That Lavia challenge was grim. I'm annoyed with myself as I had excepted relegation a while back and had been fooled into thinking we may get out of it. We still may of course, but last nights result really hurts our chances.

I think there is. We may not see it this season (and at all if we go down) One positive though is I think we would be able to sell him if we needed/wanted to. His size alone will make teams of our ilk fancy taking a gamble.

Remember when pundits and the social media tools, were rushing out to look clever by saying Haaland didn't fit at City?
-
Yeah I have just noticed on the PL app (USA version) it's been switched to USA. Point still stands that a stream should be doing the rounds. It does make it annoying for people who allegedly have the US version of Peacock in the UK and the game is moved to USA or NBC
-
It's on Peacock in the US so there definitely will be a stream doing the rounds,
-
Just a comment on his performance yesterday. I thought he was absolutely fantastic. He transforms our attack when played at RB. I hope to see him played there for the rest of the season.
-
You're right about this. It's evidenced by us looking semi organised over the last few games. Thats all you need really in the lower half of the PL
-
All I have wanted from a saints team for the last few years is the ability to keep more clean sheets. Imagine if we had just turned some of the 1-0 defeats this season into 0-0's we would be in a much better situation. It's given us a fighting chance so I hope it can continue.
-
I watched their game on Saturday and they were decent. They didn't stop either. Pickford didn't have too much to do but id expect us to be facing many balls into the box. I'd take a point here and against Spurs given the fixtures the other teams have to play too.
-
They have all the advantages over us in the world. Multi million pound team, proven league winner as a manager and they cry because a ref doesn't bow down and hand them what they think they are entitled to. Also, that Rashford dive was absolutely horrendous
-
Have woken up today even happier with that result. Their entitlement to just expect to squash teams like is infuriating. Shame we didn't get all 3 points but we are alive. There are plenty of twist and turns left. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a nervy last game of the season for quite a few clubs.
-
They're predictably and understandably confident of an easy win. Whilst I have not been too impressed with us offensively, you cant overlook 2 clean sheets in 3. I think we will make it difficult for them but will go down to a 3-1 defeat. Not the end of the world especially if other results go our way.

Stats in themselves are fine. I personally find it too much when people use them to try and force their point or agenda across, usually on Twitter. This guy is a a "baller" look at his goal involvements etc and when he steps on the pitch he looks pony. The way people were going on about Onuachu for example. Good "stats" but has looked quite of the pace thus far. With VAR I am actually in favour of the concept. The execution has been a complete dogs dinner. Genie's out the bottle now though.
-
He's up and down but I love that he's brave. We have too many meh "attackers" but he makes good runs and doesn't mind taking a shot. The finish Saturday was actually harder than it first looked too. He's deffo got something about him, just hope he's not on the shelf for a while now.
-
I think Bournemouth are worse than us. TBF most of the bottom half are utterly terrible
-
Some decentish fixtures for the upcoming weekend. You'd imagine Leeds and West Ham would be looking for home wins but neither are cut and dry. So even if we likely lose away at OT the situation could still be relatively similar which is a plus.
-
Alex Scott at Bristol City is everything I would love our wide players to be. Brave, direct and can shoot. I didn't realise he was in our academy previously. Probably looking at a move higher up the food chain though.
-
My streak of calling inaccurate scores pre-match continues. I'm going to go against everything I believe in football and say from now all that matters are results. You could make the argument, we are one poorly handled shot at Leeds away from 3 clean sheets in a row. At no point this season did I think I would be writing that. There are loads of things to improve, but I don't think we are any worse than the rest around us. All of us are terrible. We are alive and thats something I didn't think would happen after Wednesday night.
-
They do think its easy. On at least a couple of occasions RA has stated the gap isn't that big. That's how/why Jones ended up here
-
Call it bitterness etc I don't really care, but the Newcastle takeover & the Saudi World Cup shows you everything you need to know about "modern football"
