Positives: I thought we played well in the 1st half. Thomas had a very good half and it was never a pen! Kelvin made some fantastic saves. Mills had a good game including a goal and a fantastic last ditch tackle. Murty looked solid and although not the quickest he reads the game well. Negatives: Some of the passing at points was poor and too often possession was just given away. The whole team is lacking pace, especially up front and at the back. Molyneux was very disappointing. All in all, a reasonable performance against a team that was quality.

"I don't like people who drain my time and energy. If you've seen the Harry Potter films, we use the term 'dementors' - people who can draw the life out of you in terms of your energy. So we eradicate the 'dementors', encourage the positive people, and that spreads around to create the team spirit we have here" Alan Pardew quote Quite a few dementors in our set up and this forum!!!

More than happy with his appointment. Good solid English manager who will instill a little discipline into our unruly mob!

I can't wait for the game. I'll get to see what view my new season ticket will give me! Six weeks ago I'd have happily taken a drubbing from Ajax if it meant that we'd still have a club. Now we've got an owner who has the potential money to invest and ANY new manager that many fans were clamouring for. So what if we get beaten on Saturday... we are at the beginning of a very, very long and often uphill road.

Good riddance. Never played with any passion or drive.
-
I think it looks pretty smart. Can we still sing yellows, yellows even though its mainly blue!
-
Just bought my new season ticket. Simply can't wait!

Off to get my season ticket this afternoon. Was just wondering what happens if you buy your ticket and then on the first game of the season you find out the two blokes in front are 6ft 5inches tall and block your view more than any supporting post could! Is there the opportunity to change seats if they're still available?

I think the main reason he bought us was as a sweetener so that he could be in on the development of docks over at Dibden. Less people will object if its the new saviour of the club looking to get his cranes in. Only a theory though. I'm just happy we've still got a club!

Why does everybody keep looking back at past managers. Its never works getting back with ex-girlfriends. Simply move on!

I'm not convinced the appointment of Strachan would be the best appointment. He is a good manager but his teams are effective by simply being fitter than the opposition. I don't think he is a master tactician who would be able to compete at the higher levels. If we are looking to build for the future then we should surely be looking for a manager who will be here for the next ten or fifteen years. I'm not too sure who really fits the bill. It would be nice to see Shearer possibly but is it right to take a gamble on an unproven manager. I know he not the most attcking manager and he's been out of the game for a while but George Graham is the kind of boss I'd like. Well respected, proven, authoritative and knowledgable. I just think our squad needs a little more discipline.

I can't wait till the new football manager comes out! Will be nice to see a healthy bank balance for transfers and a chairman who doesn't expect you to battle bravely against relegation with no money!

For me, the behaviour of our so called fans was even more disappointing than going down! As fans we can't dictate what goes on on the pitch but we can held responsible for our behaviour. Every fan knows we are desperately trying to find a buyer for the club and we pride ourselves on being a frinedly, family club. Any potential buyers watching the scemes after the match would realise that a small minority of our supposed fans don't even deserve a club. Absoultely shameful.

The referee is absolutely awful. We've played some great stuff but should be three up.

How abou D-ream Things can only get better (once we sell you)!

I gather there are six serious bids. Five are consortiums (one headed by a former footballer) and one is a lone bidder with considerable funds.
-
I'm a bit sick of Crouch. Fair enough Lowe must take the majority of the blame for our demise but Leon was not blameless and here he is acting all holier than thou. Not impressed!
-
Agreed. Never ever gonna win the cup. Least we got a bumper home draw and made a few quid. Could have gone out to some lower league club and be in an even worse position!
-
What time does it start tomorrow? Got the card but it doesn't give a time.

Sucker punched at the end. Gillett is having one today but hopefully Jan will sort him out. Jamie white is always in acres of space but its all going down the left. Ads looks quality. Plenty more football to be played...

Was most disappointed with the performance tonight. Rudi was unbelievably poor and really looks like he's had enough of saints. I thought jamie white had a good second half and looked threatening. Not too many positives to be found although some of the passing and movement was good at times.
-
Rudi off ten mins before half time. Possibly slightly injured. Definately totally cr@p.
-
Saints losing one nil. Only senior pro who seems to care is JE. Rudi is truly shocking. Simply doesn't want to know! At the moment i'm struggling for positives other than its only one goal.
