  1. The only benefit to parting with your money early is if you want to keep the same seats, as you say, people now have the opportunity to hold off and see where the club is heading - If that makes a difference to how someone supports their club.
  2. I'd have thought his departure is more to do with the potential takeover to a bunch that we've all heard isn't suitable and, despite Kat's previous statements, rumours persist that she's now done a U-turn and keen to sell up to anyone asap. That could all be a load of b*ll*cks, of course.
  3. Might help shift a few season tickets in the meantime though...
  4. And 39 years ago yesterday saw the country get its first Mayday Bank Holiday. I like to think it was in celebration of us winning promotion back to the top flight 2 days before. That game against Hull on Saturday dampened the good memories of this time of year.
  5. I really believed we would get one more season out of him - but that was before he got injured. Since the dirty pikey **** mashed his foot he would have just sat in the stands witnessing the dull, uninspiring 90 minutes of football (Wembley aside) from SFC week in, week out. And if the football aint turned his head then the crowd atmosphere (or almost total lack of) will probably have him realising he's along way away from Celtic Park these days and a move to one of the big boys will be looking more appealing than ever. Can only see another summer of discontent.
  6. "sought amendments to these items to narrow the primary colours of the Club to the Blue, White and Red we traditionally play in" Traditionally, they played in salmon pink (if you're ignoring the fact they've only existed for half a dozen years) and their traditional nickname was the Shrimps. Far more appropriate.
  7. By the Monday it will have grown to around 100,000, a few days later it will have doubled and within the week it will be back up to the magical "over 250,000". I think they just count all the fingers held in the air which gives them an exaggerated advantage.
  8. The difference here is cost. Tickets at Chelsea in recent seasons have been in excess of £50 (plus the ticket tax!), these are £20, we'd have comfortably sold 3,000. Tinpot allocation, fans will take some flak over this one.
  9. Which just adds to the f*ckuppery of SFC only taking 1500 tickets for this game.
  10. Just received an email from the club nudging about renewing (as usual I'll renew on deadline day) and it contained a few interesting facts and figures. Assuming we have (as mentioned here and there) around 23,000 season ticket holders it was a bit surprising to see only 19,548 used their ST to buy a ticket for Wembley, 3,500 didn't!
  11. This pretty much sums it up for me, back to the Southampton pre-Gabbiadini (like Chelsea , we'll struggle to break down a defensive/counter-attacking Palace in the week) the substitutions dramatically changed the game for both sides. Anyway, Bournemouth's big 'south coast derby' has been put well and truly in its place with last match billing on MOTD. And if your name is 'Harry' don't take penalties at St Mary's.
  12. Have we really only taken the smallest allocation for Chelsea when they're only £20 a go? Saying sold out but a few days ago it was only showing seats in the corner.
  13. I think Ralph...sorry his bud Red, just got fed up dealing with 'forum dinlos'. Oh...and WUMs.
  14. Says sold out on OS but no mention of blocks A3 and A6. If you're correct that's it but if not I'd expect the club to take the extra allocation. Maybe they have to wait for the office at WBA to open on Monday!
  15. The initial allocation has sold out but no word on the OS that we're getting more. Can't believe we're not taking the remainder with 3 weeks still to go.
  16. Quotes from Gareth Rogers http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/15155581.Saints_invest___94m_in_squad/
  17. £30 adult tickets. I thought clubs had to charge away fans the same price as charged to home fans in the same stands? WBA were selling these to their fans last week for £25, took a screen-shot when I was trying to get an idea what they were going to cost. Just looked again and page now disappeared. Guess we can get more but surprised we've only taken just over 1600 initially, usually fill the full allocation.
  18. So when do we start mock theirs? (nicked from the UI)
  19. Tough game, we'll need a lift. Everyone should take their EFL scarf to help recreate the cup final atmosphere. We need to keep the season going now.
  20. If you're travelling in to city centre pubs to watch on Sunday there's free bus travel...if you're a shirt-wearer... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/15107667.Bus_operator_offers_free_travel_for_Saints_fans/
  21. Some may be a tad optimistic if they think our fans these days are capable of anything unique and more than a couple of lines long. The "magic" song is a possibility using a bit of artistic licence "They're magic, you know, Tadic and OUR Manolo" or "They're magic, YOU'LL SEE, Tadic and Gabb-ya-dini"
  22. I'm sure the club would have loved to have made a few bob selling this 'cup final' shirt but it was never intended for anything other than the one-off game at Bournemouth. It was the players choice to resurrect it for Wembley but there was never going to be enough time to mass produce it in and get it out on time. Anyways, if it's anything thing like the last time we played in the League Cup Final, 17th March 1979, it snowed for the week before and we'll all be wearing thick winter coats!
  23. Well, someone had to do it.
  24. No direct flights from Cowes... I like this, proper support, they're even signing my name.
  25. "Who the f*ck is laughing now" is the only acceptable reference in song to the dirty cheating fourth division minnows. It's acceptable because it doesn't actually mention them by name and it also goes a long way to ramming it right back into their deluded mouths. As far as that one is concerned, carry on.
