It was certainly a contender. I used to like buying the opposition's now and again and there were some really good ones out there, now I would be biased but I'd say the UI was right up there. Preferred the old A4 version to the later and smaller A5 one, it all seemed a bit too tidy!

That they looked like they'd been thrown together in someone's garage, were a little bit messy and certainly not politically correct most of the time just added to the appeal. The original fanzines and particularly the Ugly Inside is a significant bit of terrace history for many of us older fans.
