  1. ...or...to keep the Celtic theme going "da, da, da-da-da-da-da, VIC-WAM-YA-MA, da,da......."
  2. One for the old gits to sing (The Real Thing)... "VIC-WAN-YA-MA, Kenya, feel the force"
  3. High-SIX, surely?
  4. Probably medical tomorrow then, if all goes well, signs on the dotted line. Next.
  5. Was Tim responsible for offloading all those dodgy cream 76 Cup Final suits on the club?
  6. Not sure about your spelling... ...and wasn't Markus was a religious type, maybe there's something in this?
  7. The 'Chapel' will be pleased.
  8. Good thinking...I'm sure many would suggest just leaving it in the bag put it in a drawer and forget about it for a few years.
  9. And already been found even cheaper here... http://www.soccerdirectfc.co.uk/adidas-tiro-13-short-sleeve-shirt#.Uc3BWzvVCSp £11.25 for the shirt (OK not exact but near enough for some) add a badge for £2 or £3 (tho don't think they'd allow the club crest for copyright) or buy one of trousers... ...only if you're a keen, and presently angry, shirt-wearer of course
  10. See, it's not hard adidas. Put these in some kind of order and you have an acceptable Saints kit (I like the retro dark navy shorts btw).
  11. It was certainly a contender. I used to like buying the opposition's now and again and there were some really good ones out there, now I would be biased but I'd say the UI was right up there. Preferred the old A4 version to the later and smaller A5 one, it all seemed a bit too tidy!
  12. One of the same I believe? That they looked like they'd been thrown together in someone's garage, were a little bit messy and certainly not politically correct most of the time just added to the appeal. The original fanzines and particularly the Ugly Inside is a significant bit of terrace history for many of us older fans.
  13. Cheers, but was thinking more specifically this one... ...no badge and even with wonky stripes!
  14. Now I'm not generally a replica shirt wearer myself but...if you could point me in the direction of one of those I'd be more than happy. Just wished I'd bought one that day I was in Toomers back in 197..............................
  15. Cheers! 3 and out.
  16. Oops, thought I'd put this in the 'Takeover' thread!
  17. Wow, that all seems such a long time ago now.
  18. Agree it would sell out but it wouldn't surprise me to see it classed as a higher category game for the Arse this time. First day fixture, we'll be a stronger side and the fact we sold out in hours last year could see tickets at £50/£60, similar to City away last August. That could may make 1 or 2 think twice.
  19. Echo have run with that. . .not that that adds any credibility tbh http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10492050.Saints_linked_with_Stoch_swoop/ Never seen this site before. . . http://hereisthecity.com/2013/06/18/nh-southamptons-early-moves-could-see-them-challenge-for-europe/ Spurs fan thinks we'll do well if we pull off the signings currently linked
  20. And you start leaving the 'C's out then the Park would be empty. Prime example...TCWTB
  21. Badly worded...I meant the highest fee ever received by Nacional Montevideo for a player, their record, not ours.
  22. I must admit I haven't seen a figure but when reading the bit "the Southampton has advantage and not only by the excellent economic offer, which according to sources tricolor would be a business record" I assumed it meant a record fee for someone buying a player from his present club Nacional Montevideo.
  23. Great news...and when you add the 200 or so away fans that will turn up for their "cup final" at FP and boost the attendance they're now looking at gates of at least 5,300. Well done them.
  24. Bump. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/exclusive-championship-clubs-set-to-push-for-safestanding-trials-8626274.html There's a good chance this will be debated at the next Football League Chairman's meeting in July, another step in the right direction. Good sensible comments, worth a read.
